How to unlock the Taste of the Exotic achievement in Tom Clancy's The Division 2 - Definitive Guide

The easiest exotic weapon to craft is the 'Kendra's Liberty' which is a D50 variant. In order to unlock this gun, you must pick up the following 4 parts (in order) from the in-game bosses:

- Capitol Building Stronghold (Story) – Mid-Mission Named Boss – Pistol Trigger and Mechanism
- American History Museum (Hard) - Final Named Boss – Receiver and Paint-job
- ViewPoint Museum (Hard) – Final Named Boss – Pistol Sight and Rail
- Space Administration HQ (Hard) – Final Named Boss – Pistol Grip and Tags + Blueprint

You can check on your current parts by going to your resources and scrolling down to see what you currently have. You will need a gold tier D50 pistol and a lot of materials to make the weapon after you have the parts. You also need to upgrade the crafting table to gold tier too otherwise you won't see the upgrade

No doubt as the game moves forward there will be more exotic weapons/blueprints released into the game. I have created a thread Here in order to write out a guide to each as they come out.

There are only a small handfull of these exotic weapons and they will take some time and grinding to find. The two that are best used for this achievement are 'The Chatterbox' and 'Liberty'. You will need to find the parts needed to create them, before then going back to the White House to assemble them at the crafting table. The Liberty requires you to have a High End D50 to build it out of and since that is a very rare item it's unlikely you will have one on hand, so I will instead focus on The Chatterbox exotic weapon.

The Chatterbox is potentially the easier gun to obtain the parts for as you get threr out of the four parts from opening Hyena cache boxes. To open these you will need Hyena keys that can be found in the sewers. While in the sewers you will find silver boxes on the wall that can be looted and each will give you a key for one of the factions. It is random which keys you get but you will want Hyena keys for the purposes of this achievement.

Once you have the keys, you will need to find Hyena caches. You can find two of them during the 'Grand Washington Hotel' main story mission and one of them during the 'Jefferson Trade Center' main mission. When you open these you will have a chance for a component to drop from it, though it is random whether or not you do. The three parts you will want to collect from these caches are 'Creative Mag', 'Loaded Canister' and 'Modified Mods'. Once you have collected these three parts, you will need to play the main mission 'Bank Headquarters'.

Once on this mission you will need to progress until you fight the enemy 'Rebound'. Once you have dealt with him, go through the door at the end of the room and on the left as you enter there will be a brown panel on the wall. This is a secret compartment, so go up to it and you will see a prompt to press . Open this and take the Keycard. Once you have this, progress the mission until you enter the bank vault and in here on the left you can use the Keycard to open the gate and there will be another Hyena cache. As long as you have the previous three parts for this exotic, when you open this cache you will be given the final piece and the blueprint.

With the blueprint and all parts, head back to the White House and create the gun at the crafting bench. You will also need a selection of normal crafting components to create it, as well as these specific parts.

In my opinion it's easier to get the P90. You can also use a pistol, but this is pure randomness. You must drop a yellow D50 for crafting, but it rarely drops. I never got it. With P90 you can also farm, but less for me. And if you also have no luck with D50, collect the “hyenas” keys in the sewers. I farmed below the white house and in the park where the monument is. Next, when you have accumulated a sufficient number of keys, and 10-15 pieces will not be bad, go open the hyenas’ chests. There are plenty of videos on the Internet showing them being found. They roll back for 24 hours. From them you need three spare parts. As soon as you receive them, go to the mission in the bank, and in the vault with the money, open the same chest from which the weapon blueprint drops. It only falls if all three parts are assembled. The key to the vault is in the mission itself a little earlier in the room after the offices. In the locker.

Somehow I got a "MOR" MACHINE GUN, then a "SWEET DREAM" SHOTGUN fell out. I disassembled the machine gun, got an exotic part and used it to upgrade the SHOTGUN, which counted as a trophy.
ps look carefully in the menu to see what you need to upgrade this or that weapon. it is important!

The video in the previous tip is incorrect.
After receiving the story trigger:
1. Museum of American History.
2.Viewpoint Museum.
3. Space Research Center
Difficulty doesn't matter, the main thing is to go in order.
Parts drop from flipper bosses.
And the most IMPORTANT thing is to have a clean D50 with you (the one that is given for the crossbowman skill is not suitable)

Regarding the deagle, after receiving the first part in the Capitol, you need to find it in the inventory and read the rhyme, the hint in the description will tell you where to go next for the second part, I had in the hint about the past and I found the second part in the history museum, if it is written about people demanding freedom of speech, then this is the Viewpoint museum, well, if it says people want to be closer to the gods, then you should go to the aerospace museum or space research center, each has its own order. And missions can be completed at any difficulty.

I apparently disassembled the D50, 2 parts fell out of the hyenas’ chests, I spent a week chasing the third one - nothing. Xiat keys can be farmed for elimination, it’s not as annoying as running through the sewers. In general, I got tired of opening boxes too.

I tried to farm the pistol on missions, but it really doesn’t drop the crossbowman with the D50. But I changed my specialization to a grenade launcher (I still had the pistol), completed the mission on the “test” difficulty and all the parts fell the first time.

There is a method that is much simpler than all of those listed, after completing all the tusk invasions, new projects open, including a project for which you are given an exotic box, the task there is not particularly difficult, you need to donate 500 materials of 5 types, and from the box that is given for completion, an exotic drops item

A trophy is also given for reconfiguration. More often gave me, disassembled one and reconfigured the second one. The trophy was counted.

Deagle Parts do not drop from chests. They need to be collected from bosses on Hard.
Personally, I'm tired of these quatrain tips. If anyone has the same problems, here is a guide to collecting " Exotic D50 (Desert Eagle) "

In general, there is no difficulty in the trophy, except for completing mission 4 on hard.
after passing the capitol, you can upgrade the skill in the specialization that gives dessert needles, and then we carry out 4 missions on hard at the end of which items for crafting drop from the bosses
namely:

First part
Pistol: trigger mechanism, dropped during the first passage of the Capitol fortification during the story.

Second part
Pistol: frame and paint, dropped by the final boss in the American History Museum operation on difficulty hard or higher.

The third part
Pistol: Sight and Rail, dropped by the final boss in Operation Viewpoint Museum on Hard difficulty or higher.

Fourth part
Pistol: handle and tokens, and along with it the Freedom Blueprint from Kendra, drop from the final boss in the Space Research Center operation on difficulty hard or higher.

Having collected everything together, go to the Operations Base to the production station, select the weapons section and in the first section a drawing of a pistol will be available for production.

If the previous tips did not help and you played to enjoy the plot like I did at the very beginning without reading the tips for this trophy, then my advice will help you.
After completing the main story, there will be 3 drawings shown on the level 4 crafting machine in the exotic section, this is the drawing of “freedom” from the kendra, the lost drawing of the “ratchet” and the third, some kind of sniper, you need to look for how to craft it, but I went the following way.
If you still have Desert Eagle after completing the campaign, see the hint above, there you need to go through 4 episodes in a certain sequence, but I took it apart like everything else that was accumulating in my backpack, I couldn’t buy it anywhere and after several attempts to complete the plot, it also didn’t work. dropped out if you sold it, you can buy it back within 24 hours after everything disappears.
Follow this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q14gElLor3E
I managed to find 3 parts in the hyena chests, I had 9 keys in stock, on the fifth chest the third spare part fell out, then the sequence - bank - storage - base of operations - craft ratchets.

After the 9.0 update, you can simply “reroll” exotics. The achievement also drops out.
