How to unlock the Shopaholic achievement in Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
In order to unlock this achievement, you'll need to reach level 60 & spend a total of 226,500 total salvage on characters & weapon attachments. The difference between the 360 version & this one is you also need to purchase the "Hitman Absolution" attachments as well. There are many methods for salvage grinding, but I preferred using Private Rescue on the Beach map. The video shown here gives the best route to farm that salvage (Video is not my own, but is owned by Orxnge).
Edit: Gizmo2k reminded me to include the fact that the General character is not necessary for this achievement.
Edit 2: I should include the fact that any online progress from the 360 version won't transfer to the One version or vice versa (unless a patch or update was released since this was unlocked for me).

The General's not needed then?

Correct. The General is not required. I'll add that fact to the solution. Thank you.

Like most, I ended up my multiplayer achievement run needing exp. and salvage. While the Beach salvage boosting method is still very good, I did find a slightly better alternative on the Lost Fleet map as it offers 7 boxes as opposed to Beach's 5. There is also less running and climbing on this map.
Here's a video we made detailing the route. For a 20-min match, we got about 30k salvage and 3k exp:

@Ninja277 Both factions have the same set of perks, he even says he's using the perk in the video. I bet you were the one that left a negative vote smh.

@NINja277 What are you on about!? BOTH factions start with the extra salvage perk.
+1 from me, this map is way better than Beach. Thanks for the guide!

In order to unlock this achievement you will need to reach level 60 & spend a total of 226,500 total salvage on characters & weapon attachments. My video explains everything else you need to know!
When you start the match be sure you select a character from the SOLARII group because if you pick a character from the SURVIVOR group you will NOT be able to use the rope ascendor used to travel fast up ropes rather than climb them!
click the link below and look/search for MY achievement guide for the "True Commitment" achievement (as described in video above)

The True Commitment achievement in Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition worth 207 pointsReach level 60 in multiplayer.
Just wanted to add this video about dropping it frequently timed around 4-5 secs or paces etc and getting +200 medium carries about 3-4 times per pick up so:
+800 * 20 = 16'000xp from just the quick pick-up and drop en route
then plus the extra bonuses and collection rewards net you around
30'000 to 35'000 xp maybe more but aimed for under 10 mins for efficiency
i managed to average around 32'000 xp per 10 mins and around 1700 salvage per game
so just under 200'000 xp per hour and just over 10'000 salvage per hour

DO NOT PRESTIGE!!
Once you hit level 60 do not prestige until you have the achievements. I made the mistake of thinking that you had to prestige to unlock the general and get the achievement!
If however you were like me and prestiged then there is a slight workaround.
I was still in the game(Just after prestigeing) and was bricking myself of the thought of doing it all again so I took a wild stab and it payed off!
What I did was in this order:
1.Went to system, settings on the guide
Network settings, go offline
2.Went to guide, selected Tomb Raider and quit
3.Selected manage game and add-ons, selected saved data and deleted the save
4.Went back into network settings and went back online, reboot the game and lo and behold you should be un prestiged
I was reset back to level 58
Don't know why this worked or how and I can't guarantee the same will happen for you but what else is there to lose

Hello everyone, everything good ?!
I had problems with this achievement and even after reaching the necessary level and purchasing all the items, it did not unlock as expected (even though it appears as unlocked in the achievements menu that is internal to the game).
For those who have this problem, maybe I have a solution that can help you, because I also went through this and before trying this solution I reached level 60 3 other times and only on the fourth time and then using this tip the achievement unlocked. , follow the steps below as much as possible:
- Deletes the local and cloud save (or just the cloud)
- Level up to level 60 and don't buy anything
- After reaching level 60, buy all characters
- Close the game and restart it
- Start a private match in rescue mode with a first aid kit, end the match and return to the game's home menu
- Buy all weapon upgrades, starting first with the Hitman Absolution upgrades
- Finish purchasing the upgrades on the first sollarii pistol
Comments:
- You can buy some upgrades and close the game if you don't have the confidence to do them all at once, in fact I recommend it because you can never be too careful lol .
- If you have just reached level 60 and bought some upgrades, you can still try this tip here to try to prevent the achievement from being bugged.

##################### THIS IS A SOLUTION only if Shopaholic has glitched##################### on you after buying all upgrades and being Level 60. After winning all game types in ranked mode, you will see more upgrade parts to buy. if after buying, it does not unlock, do this:
1. hit guide button and move selector over game and hit start and select quit to quit out of game.
2. then i did uninstall all on the game. this should only uninstall game.
3. Do hard reset on xbox hold power button for 10 seconds until it goes off. On xbox one X you will see the the cpu sparkle screen if you did it right and then the green loading screen. on regular xbox one it will just be green loading screen.
3. Reinstall game (I had gold edition, but I decided to use original disk to install)
4. Once game is loaded go back into multiplayer and look at your upgrades. see if you have parts to buy again. buy those remaining and it will unlock. at least it did for me.
Note: when I first went into into multiplayer , there was nothing to buy. so i quit out and went through all the other menu options from the main game, except going into actual game. then I went back to multiplayer and for some weird reason, it said wait till multiplayer is loaded before I can play. this was weird because it was already 100% installed. so i kept clicking A and it finally let me in. and when i went through the guns I noticed parts that needed to be bought on one of the pistols. after I bought those achievement unlocked.
I hope this helps the people that it glitched on. if this solution helps, keep it up but if it has incorrect info, then let me know and I will update it.

Working on 05/31/24, after reaching level 60, buy all weapon improvements and all characters and leave Lara for last, after buying her, close the game and open it again and the achievement will be unlocked without you buying the Character General.
