How to unlock the TR Circus of Vilcabamba achievement in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft - Definitive Guide
To get this achievement, you must play through the 1st and the 2nd level of the game and witness/looking (with the looking command) all the 3 bears from thoses levels to stand on their feet WHILE BEING CLOSE.
You'll find the 1st one in The Cavern, in a pit you'll have to jump across to continue the level (before the 2nd encounter with wolves).
The 2nd is located in a building near the central pool at the start of the level City of Vilcabamba.
The 3rd will be at the final room of the same level.
Note 1 :
For the 1st bear, you'll want to come to him an evade until he finally perform their action, since it would be more of a hassle to wait for him to stand from a safe spot, then rush down to get closer.
For the 2 others, if you wait from an unreachable location where they can still spot you and get close (such as staying in the water or hanging from an edge where they can't touch you), they will trigger more often the standing on legs. All you'll have to do then is getting closer and look.
This work for the 1st one too (if you hang on edge then stand again, once you turn around, he most probably will stand for a second while moving away), but again, you'd loose time to reach him.
Note 2 :
The game will keep track of the bears you already have confirmed for the achievement. You don't need to do the all 3 of them in one single playthrough from the 1st level to the 2nd, but you'll want to save after each of them to be sure they're validated.

I had luck to get them dancing when I run into them or jump into them(tank controls). Be sure they stand up and do the longer version of dance that takes more than 5 seconds not the sort one.

I was about two and a half blocks away from the third bear when the achievement popped, so I'm pretty sure you don't need to be super close.

I was only able to get the first bear to count. For the second bear, be it the short or long standing animation, it wouldn't register. I tried looking with guns out, standing right in his face, and re-viewing the first cave bear to see if that would count twice. No luck.
