How to unlock the TR Welcome to My Home! achievement in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft - Definitive Guide

This is a relatively simple achievement although you may need to switch to the Tank Controls for a couple of instances in the ballroom.

You just need to move around, then jump and then jump in any direction on the crash mat, then run into the hall & climb onto a crate with the action button, then do the 5 different exercises in the Ballroom that has been converted, then swim in the Swimming Pool as AirNath has kindly corrected me about :)

The latest update binned Lara's dialogue for instructions on how to play the game thanks to console certification regulations; games aren't allowed to say "Press the action button" for example - if they give an instruction it has to say "Press the A button".

I can see why the rule is in place since the action button makes no sense without the game's manual, and also confuses the hell out of those who use modern controls.

However there is a chance that the update broke this achievement as it might be leaning on those audio tracks playing to progress it.

You could try mimicking this video, ignoring the fact that she stops talking after a certain point, and see if this works? Make sure to use tank controls and use the DPad.

Jump = X
Action = A
Walk = RB
Look = LB

I had to go into the swimming pool and swim around and leave the pool to pop the achievement.

Tank controls are best controls anyway. Learn to use the DPad like the game was designed for :)

Just to add to this guide, you actually need to listen to what lara is saying in the obstacle room, you can't just speed run threw it.
And if you don't spend even time in the swimming people, you won't get the last dialog instructions.

So i just jumped around a little bit and did the parcour like 3 times. And when i entered the swimming pool area for the second time the game sent me back to the main menu and the achievement unlocked, so not totally broken but little bit buggy^^

When I first tried this, like a dummy, I didn't follow Lara's instructions. When trying to figure out why I couldn't get this to unlock, the consensus was that you had to follow her instructions to the letter.

So I started again, but this time she wasn't saying all of the instructions. She skipped telling me to use jump + a direction on the blue mat, didn't say anything about climbing the boxes in the lobby and would not give me any instructions at all for the #2, #3 and #5 exercises. As an example of how the instructions are important, #5 wants you to hang from the ledge again after you shimmy over and pull yourself up.

So I found this video on Youtube, it is not mine, but it has the entire runthrough of the house with all of the instructions intact:

While the game was not giving me the instructions, I mimicked the actions in this video and the achievement unlocked, so you don't need to hear Lara speak the instructions for them to count when you follow one.

If you use the vid, be sure to give the creator a like.
