Done in TR2 - Ice Palace
After picking up the Gong Hammer you'll head through a cave that has a bunch of rolling snowballs.
After this room there's a really deep chasm that serves no purpose other than to kill you.
All you need to do for this achievement is get a flare to land at the bottom of this chasm. You can either throw the flare (if you have a keyboard orif Aspyr patch in a flare button for controller users in future hold down the 
+ 
to throw the flare, or you can get to the other side of this room where there's a flatter surface, light your flare then get your guns out to drop it down.
The achievement will unlock the moment the flare lands on the ground at the bottom.

On Xbox / controller, hold the Inventory button (Select, or Back, or View, don't really know how to call it) and press RB. That's the shortcut for flares.

Shortly after picking up the Dingdong-thing and getting assaulted by 4 Yetis you'll get to said chasm in ICE PALACE.
Light a flare and unholster your weapon or press "," twice on your keyboard to yeet a flare down there and unlock the cheevo.
