How to unlock the TR3 Like a Naive Child achievement in Tomb Raider I-III Remastered Starring Lara Croft - Definitive Guide

Done in TR3 - Coastal Village and Lost City of Tinnos.

Across these two stages there are three annoyingly simple traps which will kill you if you fall for them.

Similar to TR1's "36 ways to die" achievement, it is believed that for the achievement tracker to register the death, you need to let her die, wait until the Passport appears on screen (so don't press anything on the controller), load your most recent save (so not Restart Level), then save your game to 'bank' the death.
  1. Coastal Village: When you first arrive at the village, there are a number of huts which contain an item in them. One of them is a large medikit at the back of a small hut. The floor is quicksand and will kill you. This large medikit is impossible to pick up and is not counted in the items statistic.
  2. Coastal Village: In the second part of the village, you'll need to reach the rooftops, where you'll enter a small tunnel in the wall, with some rolling wall traps that you'll need to sprint past. Around this area there are two button switches. One of them will set the floor on fire and kill you.
  3. Lost City of Tinnos: When you first enter the Fire trial, you need to jump over certain blocks that don't set on fire to make it to the other side of the room. After getting to the other side of this room, there's a trap door which slides you down into the next trial. Jump over this trap door to see a large medikit on the floor. Get to that medikit and attempt to pick it up straight away and find yourself get killed by a rolling spike trap. This medikit DOES count towards the items statistic though and can be picked up by letting the spike trap fall to the bottom, and then doing side flips to 'bug through' the spike trap enough to pick it up. However, for achievement purposes you need to get killed.
If you successfully banked the three deaths, the achievement will unlock straight after the Lost City of Tinnos trap death. Note that these do not need to all be done in one playthrough; for me the achievement unlocked after dying in the quicksand for the first trap as I fell for the other traps :)
