This was my last achievement and as i didnt get it through playing the dlc. I decided to try speedrun it as there is only one monkey to deal with doing that. This does not work despite monkeys not picking up the items. Turns out you need to kill 7 different monkeys. There is a very nice guide by PyrrhicVictory that details what is needed. All credit goes to him. I would also recommend saving after each monkey kill to make sure they are locked in for you. Happy hunting.

It also appears that you must not pick up the items that the monkeys go to - I killed all the monkeys without them touching them and initially picked them up afterwards but I didn't get the achievement. Its only when I restarted the level and killed all the monkey with doing no item pickups (apart from the keys) it unlocked.
