How to unlock the Cat's Nine Lives achievement in Tomba! Special Edition - Definitive Guide

In order to maximize your health bar, you will need to collect 12 Vitality Max items throughout the game to bring your health total up to 16. The max is originally capped at 8 health, until you obtain the Golden Bowl for completing the Hide and Seek and Take Out events for finding Yan in all his locations and bringing him his lunchbox. Any health ups obtained before the Golden Bowl will be added once you get it and will not be lost. Vitality Max's can be found in the following locations:

Forest of All Beginnings: Above the Ol' Pond in a 100 year old chest. When you are climbing up towards the 100 year old man's house, there are branches that you can swing on towards the left. Complete a few jumps to the left and you will land on this chest.

Village of All Beginnings: Complete the "Take Two of These" event by giving Mizuno the witch the cold medicine. The medicine can be found in the Underground Maze.

Forest of 100 Flowers: To the left just above the entrance to the Wobbly Wharf in a 1,000 year old chest.

Dwarf Village: Rewarded for completing the "Something's Cookin'?" Event. Obtain the Bucket from Wobbly Wharf and equip it in the Watch Tower. There are three locations with water droplets falling, align yourself so that the water falls into the bucket. Once it is full, return to the forest and use the bucket on the campfire. Once the fire is out you can obtain the baked yam to give to the woman in the dwarf village.

Stormy Mountain: Inside a 1,000,000 year old chest where you find the Healing Herbs for Baron.

Baccus Village: Awarded for completing the Death Fruit Juice event for the villagers in the bar.

Haunted Mansion:After lifting the curse on the mansion. Inside a 1,000 year old chest on the north side of the mansion. In the room just below the door with a large keyhole.

Lava Caves: Inside a 100 year old chest along the right wall, below the entrance to the Phoenix's Nest.
Leaving the cave and re-entering will reset the chest if you happen to drop it into the pit below.

Masakari Jungle: Inside a 1,000 year old chest high above the entrance to the Village of Civilization. Climb the large tree and jump to the right.

Trick Village: Inside a 10,000 year old chest in the underwater maze.

Underground Maze: Given to you by the Blue Fortune Teller.

Motocross Course: Rewarded by the mermaid at the singing rock after obtaining the bronze medal. (this is only rewarded if you talk to her after getting bronze, and not when your time was gold/silver) Bronze requires a time between 26.56 and 28.16 seconds.
