How to unlock the Eventful Evening achievement in Tomba! Special Edition - Definitive Guide

At launch, this trophy may not unlock if using the Original soundtrack. If you already finished the game, switching the soundtrack to Remastered and reloading a save should allow it to unlock once you beat the final boss again!

There are a total of 130 events throughout the game between Primary and Secondary Events. A full list can be found here if needed https://tomba.fandom.com/wiki/Events_in_Tomba!

Events listed on the in-game event menu are always in the same order and you can use gaps between events to figure out what ones you are still missing. There is a large gap between the Primary and Secondary events, so don’t get confused by that. The Last Primary event is “A Real Evil Pig” and the first Secondary event is “Take Me Home.”

You should be at 127/130 events before completing the “Seven Friends” event. Completing this event will trigger the final boss fight. You can use Baron, Charity Wings, or a Bell to leave the fight if necessary but it’s easiest to just have everything else done beforehand.

Below are some of the events that can be easily missed or may be a bit confusing.

*Missable* “Where The Barrel Rolls..” at the Wobbly Wharf is a missable event. If you break the barrel by inflicting too much damage on it, it will not respawn. It is advised to just break the spikes off with a few uncharged attacks from the blackjack, using a stronger weapon can easily break the barrel. Once the spikes are removed, simply push the barrel all the way to the right into the water. Later, when you learn how to dive, you can return and see where the barrel rolled.

*Missable* Healing Herbs for Baron / Delicious Knowledge Fruit / Seaweed for Your Health / A Man’s Best Friend / Baron’s Strength: Be sure to rescue the puppy above the Wobbly Wharf in the Forest of 100 Flowers BEFORE capturing all 7 evil pigs. These events will all be missed if you start the Seven Friends event after capturing the 7th pig.

Hidden Village: About halfway through the Lava Caves, if you travel upwards you will find a small area with a pump rock. If you jump off the top of the pump rock while it is still extended and throw your grapple upwards it will latch onto a platform and allow you to climb upwards to the Hidden Village. The Jewel of Wind can also be used to gain the height needed. Completing the Leaf Butterfly quest will also bring you to this village.

*Missable* I’m So Hungry : Walking back and forth in the Hidden Village you will find Taro, if you give him a lunch box, you will complete the event and be rewarded with some cheese. It could be possible to miss this if you managed to use up every lunch box item in the game beforehand. There is a chest in the lava caves just below the entrance to the village with a lunchbox, if needed.

*Missable* Take Out: In the left hut in the Hidden Village you will meet Yan’s father who asks you to deliver Yan’s Lunchbox to him. Talk to Yan at one of his locations to complete this event. If you accidentally use the lunchbox for yourself beforehand, the event will still complete but you will not get rewarded with cheese. Make sure to speak to Yan’s father before finding Yan in all 4 of his locations. If Yan returns to the village, his father will not give you this event.

Who Are You / Hide and Seek: Look carefully in the small hut leading to the Ol’ Pond and you may notice someone hiding in the dark. Talk to them before moving on, and after speaking to the 100 year old man, head back down to where you came from and you’ll see Yan hanging out. He’ll challenge you to a game of hide and seek and be hiding in 4 locations. These can be completed in any order.

Stormy Mountain - Behind the laughing door near the healing herbs on the second screen of the area.
Charity Square - Hiding behind the Leaf Butterfly cage
Masakari Jungle - On the platform to the left of the big tree
Haunted Mansion - Inside a room on the west side, hidden behind a large wall of hay. The Jewel of Fire required to burn down the hay.

After finding him in all 4 locations, head back to the Hidden Village and he will reward you with the Golden Bowl needed to max out your health bar. Note, the golden bowl does not count as one of the 5 Golden Items needed for that event.

Plant a Flower Garden: It is advised to start this event as early as possible. Once you complete the “Death Fruit Juice” event, the seed will spawn in the Watch Tower just below where you found the dwarf child. Give the seed to the child back at the village and he will plant it in the flower bed in front of the Dwarf Elder. The flower will grow over time based on AP earned. It’s best to start this early when you still have a lot of events left to earn AP. If you don’t do this until much later in the game, you can farm AP from killing enemies, but save yourself the grind! It takes 100,000 AP for the flower to grow, and you earn 3,000 AP when turning in the seed, so you will have to grind out 97,000 AP.

Leaf Butterflies: In Charity Square, there is a rope you can climb to find a dwarf in a cage collecting leaf butterflies. You have to collect 29 total to complete this event. You can find up to 25 in the Forest of 100 Flowers, and any more you need in the Masakari Jungle.

Flower Tower: In order to revive the broken fountain at Charity Square, you will need to use the Rise and Shine Powder on the unique yellow flower in the Mushroom Forest to make it bloom. Afterwards, use the Tear Jar to collect its tears and use them on the fountain. Both of these items are dropped by the Bonsugee, the cyclops jellyfish monsters in the background of Mushroom Forest. You need 1 million AP to enter the flower tower and complete the event. If you progress the game far enough to spawn the second set of Bonsugee, the Rise and Shine Powder will be sitting on the ground in the area to be collected.

Red + Blue = ?: Use the Blue Powder obtained by sliding down the Leaf Slider located at the left side of Charity Square on a red flower in the Mushroom Forest to turn it blue. Throw the blue flower into another red flower after it opens up to create a strange looking mushroom on the ground. Eat this mushroom to enter the “Taboo” state which causes you to run faster and jump higher than usual. This effect goes away when you die.

Peach Flower Gas: After helping the villager in Baccus Village for the event “Can’t Stop Crying,”(by giving him a normal mushroom) he will talk about a I. In order to obtain said baby pig, return to the Village of All Beginnings and locate the Peach Flower. Just beyond the flower is a Koma Pig. Lure him under the flower and when you jump on the flower it will release gas. This gas will transform the pig and you can then jump on top of the baby pig to add it to your inventory so you can bring it back to Baccus Village and complete the event. You can obtain the baby koma pig at the very start of the game as well, you do not have to wait to reach Baccus Village.

The Boss’s Treasure: After completing “What the Thief Forgot” Talk to the Boss inside the small keyhole door at the North Side of the Haunted Mansion (where you originally broke the cursed egg to free the 1,000 year old man).

Some Cheese Please: In Baccus Village, there is a man looking for 15 pieces of cheese. When you bring him 10 pieces he will reward you with the Golden Fruit. There are more than 15 pieces throughout the game so you don’t have to find them all. You will be rewarded cheese for completing:
“A Lost Child”
“I’m So Hungry”(2 pieces)
“Take Out”(2 pieces)
“A Famous Digger”
“What The Thief Forgot”(2 pieces).

You can also find cheese in the following locations:
Ol’ Pond - Inside the AP box (2 pieces)
Haunted Mansion - room on the east side where you find Yun (2 pieces)
Haunted Mansion - behind the crying door on the west side (2 pieces)
Underground Maze - 5 inside chests in the area.

Try coming back a little later? I'm not sure the exact point that he starts the event for you. I typically end up going back to the 10,000 year old man to start the event sometime after talking to the 1,000,000 year old man.
