How to unlock the ONE HUNDRED! achievement in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 - Definitive Guide

On November, 6th, 2020, an update came out for THPS 1 + 2, that drastically changed the XP values across the game as a whole. The previous solution, that was written using old XP values, has been archived because the old methods of getting XP are now much slower as compared to the new method.

However, the amount of XP to go from level 1 to level 100 has stayed the same. So the google spreadsheet is still relevant and accurate.

Google Spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DHfhV0DybXTsMj0E6ZeJ...

The new method is actually much simpler and much faster than the previous methods of earning XP.

I tested the new XP values and now it seems that the maximum amount of XP that you can earn, in a 2 minute session, is 675 XP. Whereas, with the previous methods, with the old XP values, the highest amount of XP you could earn in a 2 minute session was 225 XP, so this is a major upgrade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This 675 XP number comes from these criteria that must be met in a 2 minute session:

- Holding a manual for 10 seconds straight = 25 XP.

- Holding a lip trick for 10 seconds straight = 25 XP.

- Holding a grind trick for 10 seconds straight = 25 XP.

- Having a total score over 1,000,000 points = 150 XP.

- Having a single combo that equaled more than 1,000,000 points = 150 XP.

- Finishing an entire 2 minute session, without ending the session early = 300 XP.

So 25+25+25+150+150+300 = 675 XP, per 2 minute session.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now 675 XP every 2 minutes, sounds really nice, but its possible to get even more than 675 XP in a 2 minute time span.

This is because 300 of the XP, that you can earn, you get for doing a 1,000,000 point combo and for having over 1,000,000 total points. This means that you can earn 300 XP as fast as you can do a single 1,000,000 point combo and then ending the game.

In the comments of this solution, CrAk ll posted a video clip of him doing a 1,000,000 point combo, in around 10 seconds, on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2's "NY City" map. Because in those 10 seconds, he did a single 1,000,000 point combo and earned over 1,000,000 points total, he earned 300 XP in 10 seconds. Once he ended the game, he would just press "Retry Level" and do it again. Using CrAk ll's method, you can earn around 3600 XP, every 2 minutes. Which is 108,000 XP per hour. Which is incredible. Using this method, you could go from level 1-100 in about 8 hours of boosting XP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below I will outline how the method works and then I will post CrAk ll's clip of him doing it. I will also post a clip of me replicating the method, so you guys can see just how easy it is to replicate.

- Before attempting to do the method, make sure that you go into your game mods and make sure to turn on, "Perfect Rail Balance", "Perfect Manual Balance", "Always Special", "No Bails" and "Double Base Score". If you are missing "Double Base Score" in your game mods options, it is because you have not finished the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour. You must complete the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour and unlock and turn on the "Double Base Score" Game Mod for this method to work.

- Next, make sure to go into your skater's special tricks and map the special move, "The 900", to a button combo. CrAk ll said that he has the move mapped to cn_up cn_down cn_X. When I went to go replicate the method I mapped the move to the button combo cn_down cn_up cn_B. Its whatever you prefer really, but we will be spamming this move quite a few times per run, so make sure its a button combo that's easy to remember and one that you won't mind pressing over and over again.

- Once the proper Game Mods are turned on and "The 900" is mapped to the button combo of your choice, click on "Skate Tour" from the main menu, go over to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and then select the map "NY City".

-Once you've loaded in, you want to immediately start grinding the wall to your left. There will be a small gap in the wall that you need to jump over. When you go to jump over the gap, you want to do "The 900" while in the air, and then start grinding again, once you've cleared the gap. As soon as you land and start grinding again, you then want to continue jumping, doing "The 900" and then regrinding, down the length of the wall. However, there is a bend in the wall to the left. As you approach the bend in the wall, don't press any button inputs until your character is going in a straight line again, or you'll just jump off the wall onto the street. By the time you reach the chain link fence, at the end of the wall, you should have enough base score + multiplier to hit over a million points. Simply land on the street, wait for the score to pop up in blue text at the bottom of the screen and then pause and press "End Session". Observe how much XP you earned and then press "Retry Level" and repeat the process again.

Here are the 2 clips of me and CrAk ll doing the method:

CrAk ll's clip - https://gameclips.io/CrAk%20ll/926b2381-eed5-451a-961a-43f9a...

My clip - https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/ace-annihilates/video/115700861

At first glance, it does look quite hard to replicate and a little scary. But it honestly only takes a couple tries to get the rhythm down. The button combo I assigned to the move "The 900" was cn_down cn_up cn_B. So, as an example, the buttons being pressed in the clip is literally just, cn_A (to jump in the air), then cn_down cn_up cn_B (while in the air, to do "The 900") and then cn_Y (to grind on the wall again). And you basically just keep spamming those same buttons except for when you're going around the lefthand bend in the wall. CrAk ll also said he assigned his cn_LT button to be his grind button. So if you are having trouble jumping, doing "The 900" and then grinding again, try changing your grind button to cn_LT and just hold the button down and your character should always grind when you land.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone finds a faster way to get a single 1,000,000 point combo, please let me know in the comments. I tried to explain the method to the best of my ability and some people might still find it confusing. Therefore, if anyone is having trouble understanding the method or how it works, please don't hesitate to ask me for clarification.

so your method not including load times would give you 155xp 1 min. 9,300 exp per hour

another method not including load times, would be to combine all your 10 sec grind, 10 sec manual,10 sec lip, and combo into one big combo. quit out at 45 seconds which would give you 135 exp in 45 seconds. 10.800 exp per hour

not sure how load times would effect this & if it would even be worth it. but thought I would mention it!

I do think you have a point CanadianBeerGod. When I was testing xp values I tested in 10 second increments. And i wrote down maximum xp values at each increment. The actual fastest xp/second that I found was 50 seconds. (I didnt test 5 second intervals so 45 might even be faster). The only problem I was having is that sonetimes I would miss my grind on the fountain or my character would grind instead of doing a liptrick and I couldnt consistently do every step in 50 seconds everytime. So I just went with what was more consistent and chose 1 minute. But if anybody reading this is interested in trying, I'm positive that it is faster to do 45-50 second increments if you can nail it every time. I think I'm going to use my phones stop watch and see how long two 1 minute runs take. Then I'll do as many 45 second runs I can do in that same time (ending the 3rd run at the exact time I'd be finishing my second 1 minute run) and see how they compare.

Any further testing by anyone else would be appreciated. Who knows, there could be a way to earn idle xp somehow or a way to earn more with a different method, like create a park or something. And new methods with higher outcomes saves all of us time so hopefully we can make this a collaborative effort.

I built a park just for experience. I called it "Exp Boost". It has a lip right at the start, then 10 seconds of manualling then 10 of a grind. Then you land in a pool you can use to grind for points. If you keep a stopwatch around then you can end the run at 45 seconds and get full experience with minimal loading. If you put all 45 seconds into one combo then you'll easily get at least 400,000 points. Manual when you land in the bowl, grind the edge, then spam X,B, and Y to change tricks. I made a video if anyone needs.

Thank you for the mention and further testing on this!

I can also confirm that @Shand Alk3 Create a Park called “Exp boost” works well & I was able to do it consistently every time with this. There is also basically no load time at all in between

There is no timer which can be a bit annoying, but besides that it works nicely!

(**when I first loaded the park I spawned on the bottom & was a bit confused. but after I reloaded it, it spawned me up top by the ramp)

@Maka91 Im currently level 72. Been doing about 3 levels a day. (To hopefully be done by september 22nd. Right now I'm only sitting at 12,500 xp to go to level 73. But honestly a lot of you guys are probably higher levels than me. I wrote this solution before when I only had 4/19 get theres done. So after writing this solution I spent the next couple says using your videos to finish those up. I only really started boosting xp 2 days ago so I'm a little behind on the xp grind. But I will 100% update you guys as soon as we find out what the later levels look like.

As for create a park I cant ever get a consistent time using that method. If someone who prefers that method would like to do some testing I'd be interested in seeing those numbers as well. But I got comfortable with the downtown method and have been getting consistent 45 second runs. So I'm sticking with that unless someone finds something better.

Also anyone who is a higher level than 72, if you can report what level you are and how much xp you need to go to the next level, I could start compiling an xp table. As I progress (From level 72 onward) Ill write down my numbers but without other peoples help, I wont know the numbers until I personally hit level 100. I also neglected to write down xp numbers for levels below 72, so any xp amounts for levels between 1-71 would be appreciated as well.

In my created park, I’ve got it down to a science. I Lip until my lip score is 6500 (like you said) then revert into a manual down the ramp which is almost exactly 10 seconds then the grind is 10 seconds. Then combo all that into a grind on the bowl I land into and start spamming tricks until I get a x25 score. By the time I get to x25, it’s been 45 seconds.

Our actual experience may differ from the Downtown method though. I get 75 from the 10 second parts but only 64 from the score /combo portion because it's only been 45 seconds. I get a score of 400,000+ every time so I think it's just the time. If I stay another 15 seconds I bet I'll get more. Then restarting the run is instant with no loading.

So, in 45 seconds, what's the experience you get from the score/combo in Downtown?

@Shand Alk3, IVe tested almost every map and create a park maps. As long as you meet the proper criteria, the XP is static across all maps. If you do a 1 minute run where you reach the score and combo criteria while also doing 10 second lip, manual and grind. You will always get 40 xp for score, 25 for each of the 10 second tricks and 40 xp for combo, which is 155 XP. With 45 second runs, you only get 135 XP, but it is faster to earn XP.

The reason why is because the score and combo XP is strictly dependent on the time youve been playing. The game takes into account how many seconds you've been playing and what your score is and gives you XP based on that. But the 10 seconds manual, grind and lip XP is not dependent on how long youve been playing, so its better to restart as quickly as you can, because that means that youre spending less time waiting around for the time based XP.

If you don't believe me, you can try both methods, with a stop watch or something. Take note of your XP and do an hour of 1 minute runs and do an hour of 45 minutes runs. And compare in which hour you got more XP.

@Bobby Blane3 Your observation is consistent with what Ive been seeing. If you know what the numbers are for absolute sure, please don't hesitate to input the Level XP values thatyou know, into my spreadsheet.

I have been tracking how much XP you need for the last 20 levels or so and think I have found out how xp changes by level. Rank 50-59 adds 300 xp for each new level (53 to 54 took 4,950, and 54 to 55 took 5,250). From 60-66, where I currently am, I am seeing 400 additional points per level (60 to 61 was 7,150 and 51 to 62 was 7,550). Makes sense to me that we will see an additional 100 points added to each level through 100. 50-59 = 300 additional, 60-69 = 400 additional, etc. Does that match what you're seeing Ace?

To add I'm at 462 out of 714 challenges as well. All I have left is 100k grabs, skater challenges and 10 hours of manual time. Running math unless there is a major boost for completing all challenges or they reset IE prestige or something, I abandoned doing them for the exp boost park. I have 500 online games played and 200 wins on jam and competitive done as well. While playing online is more fun for sure, nothing ive seen beats the exp boost park method.

Just finished it up, sorry I didn't look at the xp required as I was doing some of the other levels. I find if you start thinking about how long it takes, it actually takes longer, so for nearly all of the levels I didn't look to see how much xp was required. I just sat there and grinded on.

This is the last achievement I need, and I'll probably leave it alone and hope the devs do something about this.

IMO, getting all the other achievements and unlocking every skater's pro video should get you close to 100 (since it basically means you've done everything there is to do), but as other users said this only takes you to the 70s.

88hrs 52min for the full completion (shown at the end of the clip when I sit on the stats screen). Not sure how much of that was grinding. It could be considerably less though if I was better at the get there goals and some of the gaps. For a grind it doesn't take terribly long, it just feels bad because you are ending session and restarting every 45 seconds and actually putting in a decent amount of inputs in those seconds.

Sitting at level 66, this is the last achievement I need. Should I do all the challenges for every pro skater? Any idea how much XP I will get? I mean, one pro skater is done pretty quick... Guess I can't stand this tedious XP grind... :/

By FireRaiser1985 on 15 Sep 2020 23:25
Fireraiser the pro skater challenges are only worth like 1500 xp for all 21 challenges for a given skater. I mean, in the same time you could get 1500 xp in like 12 or 13 minutes doing the boosting method. If you want tge challenges go ahead but its definitely not going to save you time unfortunately.

Yeah, I grinded this for a bit, but I can't commit as hard as others. I'd like to, but couldn't bring myself to. By now I can't imagine I'm on track to be in the first 10 - so I'll just let this one roll in over time and be happy when it does. I'm at 77 or maaaabye 78 and I imagine some of y'all must be deep into the 80s by now at least?

I'm currently at 86 and I'm dreading the thought of having to do another 40 hours based on what the spreadsheet says. I started doing semi-idle grinding by having my guy doing a lip trick with perfect balance so I can kind of do other things or play other consiles. It's slower going, but it's keeping me from going crazy from doing nonstop grinding if I throw it in every now and then.

you dont gain any xp after doing a trick for 10 seconds. I think he means that hes doing a 10 seconds lip, landing the trick and then restarting. So its less involved. You just kinda press y once you spawn and then A after 10 seconds and then end and restart.

Are there any challenges worth doing before starting this grind? Should I try and finish the create a park challenges or some of the skater challenges or is the time invested to get those 500-2k xp challenge rewards more time consuming than just grinding?

By Aardvark Vulgar on 17 Sep 2020 04:43
The regular get there goals are worth it because you get 1k xp each and can use cheats to get them. The CAP placements are also worth it because it doesn't take very long you get 2k xp for 5k placements and another 2k xp for the 10k placements and you can spam ~ 1k rails before having to reset the park. Not sure about other challenges, didn't do many before grinding.

You know it's kind of a shame that the last achievement is such a grind. I was looking forward to continuing to play this after the 1000g, like getting better at scoring, getting the secret boards, etc. But because leveling up with this method is so tedious, it kind of kills any enjoyment of the game because by that time you're so burned out. It makes me think that they had intended to add THPS3 later with a ton of more challenges. Otherwise, why would beating every challenge get you to roughly 75%? If they didn't plan on adding DLC than this is a major oversight imo. And even if they did, why not just make getting to 100 easy and then add "Get to level 150" in the DLC, I dunno.

Also, a couple questions:

1. For the multiplayer achievements, can you get them with just two controllers?
2. Does doing this 10 manual/10 grind/10 lip method on a create-a-park give you more XP? Is it just preference?
0

By NamelessxDread on 17 Sep 2020 09:13
Nameless, create a park does not give "more" xp per se. Basically while doing the regular xp method I was doing on downtown, I was wasting a lot of time traveling between tricks. So on downtown the fastest I could do a run was 44 or 45 seconds. But I created a park where the tricks all combo together. So I spend virtually no time traveling between tricks. So on my create a park I get like 37 or 38 second runs. The result of that is that I have to do more runs per hour but I'm earning more xp. The faster you can get all the criteria met and end the game and restart the faster you'll earn xp. The only difference is create a park has no timer so you have to learn what scores to look for to know you've been doing 10 second tricks.

Yes the multiplayer achievements can be done in local coop with a second controller.

Basically what Ace said, but adding to that, I also build a 10x multiplier on the lip and get about 65000k x 10 to get a bonus 150xp. Takes about 2 minutes per run. Much slower, but a little less tedious given that I get to do other things. Sorry for not clarifying in the original comment, was at work and couldn't comment in depth.

So maybe I'm dumb because I haven't played around w/ CAP a ton yet but in trying to speed up the process by going to some of the Parks mentioned here, my skater doesn't seem to spawn properly at the start of the paths in question but instead just spawns in, like, the middle of the park. Do I need to access the park in some different game mode or am I doing something basic af wrong?

I really hate achievements like this. I've done everything in the game. Every objective, every gap, every get there, every challenge for a created skater and multiple pros, played over 100 games online, got obscene combos and high scores. I've enjoyed every second of playing this game so far and I'm level 67. According to the spreadsheet that's about 25% of the way to 100. So after such an amazing experience, it's let down by the fact I now have to grind out the same level over and over and over for 67 hours?! Even if I did 3 hours a day (which isn't realistic for me) that's a month of boring myself stupid for one achievement. Ugh.

Rant aside though, your guide is great. Thanks for the breakdown and the map.

Damn, 6 people already got it? How is this even temporally possible? There's only so many hours in the day. These people must not be sleeping, let alone working a 9 to 5, lol. Unless there's some kind of trick I don't know about. I've been going hard over the weekend and still not even close.

I do work a full time job, 6AM - 2PM. I already had the Wednesday I started really grinding scheduled off for unrelated reasons, so I took 2 days off to extended it to the weekend and grinded during that time. I don't know how hard you have been going, but I played until I noticed I was making too many mistakes which was sometimes over 24hrs, then took a 1-2 hour nap and started again. Watched a lot of YouTube and Twitch during that time to keep my mind off the grind.

Yeah I'm sure I could have had this by now if I devoted all my free time to it. Just haven't been able to bring myself to. Was hoping to still get into the first 10, but seems improbable by now. I'm at 82 or maybe 83, which is still less than halfway done haha

Yeah ranking up to 100 is quite the grind. I've done 638/714 challenges and the hard "get theres" and I'm still just a 76. What we really need is a THPS3 DLC.

84 is a more accurate halfway mark. At level 84 you've earned about 400,000 of about 800,000 xp.

Guessing it goes nowhere, but I've been tweeting Vicarious Visions/THPS game to hopefully get a double XP weekend or some other adjustment. I get the game has only been out for a few weeks now, but after completing basically all the major challenges, we should be 90%+ of the way there. This is a really shitty way to extend the play time artificially.

I would do the turbo controller method if it was possible to find one. That being said, I seriously underestimated how long the 90s take. I thought I was going to be done last weekend but I was in for a rude awakening. Also, fatigue is a real thing. It's one thing to plan to grind for like 10-12 hours straight on a saturday until your neck starts hurting or you get hungry, then eating and getting super sleepy. I'm currently at 96 and still can only manage about 3 hours a day after work without getting burned out. This is pretty much the ultimate grind. Don't remember anything taking this long to level up. I've basically had a playlist of every Longmont Potion Castle album ever going and have been listening to it from beginning to end just to keep from losing my mind.

So, it's getting harder and harder to grind for this because EVERY SINGLE DAY when I log into the game and try to get into the park, it's a freaking nightmare. This stupid game is taking longer and longer and longer to load parks properly. Is anyone lese having this issue? Is simply won't show all categories, say I'm offline, not load the info for the park so the spawn is not at the correctly place, everything that can go wrong with this pile of shit of a game goes.

On top of that my XBox fans also go full blast like it's some goddam miracle to render a menu with some pictures and it's demanding every single resource from my One X. When game loads, of course fans stop spinnings because yeah. It's the menu that is hard to render.

On top of a stupid ass grind, I have to deal with a broken menu system. Am I the only one???

@SiegfriedX I have a regular Xbox One and just don't close out the game when I'm done, then just have the Xbox on standby. I also use the Downtown level to grind, so I don't know about what the create-a-parks are like. Everything seems fine, although I recently had to replace my power brick because it died while playing this.

Yeah, I cannot keep the game running because I play other stuff and grind a little every day. Using regular levels you won't have any issue at all. It's the create a park system that seems to be getting worse everyday.

This feels like it just has to be a mistake or something. Even if you completed every single challenge, that would get you to maybe level 85 at best? And I mean EVERY challenge, hard times, secret scores, etc. That’s still entire days worth of grinding left to get to 100. Either that or it’s just meant for people will will be playing this online for months to come and will eventually get there with the trickle of xp that will get them. But those people aren’t playing for the completion, so we’re back to “wtf?”

I did pretty much everything (Secret Premier Boards On All Levels) everything there is to do, and I am only on level 91 lol I don't have a "turbo controller" to help me, all I do is play online and get reported as a cheater for winning constantly. This grinding method is very helpful and fast but can be a bit boring after 1 hour. I hope they make a DLC achievement for unlocking all secret boards.

Great guide Ace! I’ve been using your CAP map to grind this out. After a few hundred goes I’ve noticed I need to lip for 6600 points to get to 10 secs, the manual is 9.5s long so you lose 1xp here but still almost perfect and the grind for me is 31500 points to reach 10s. But I’m not getting anymore than 26-27xp with the score and combo, even if I get it over 400,000. So I’m mostly averaging 125xp per run (5x25). Am I missing something there?
0
0
By VoicelessMidget on 10 Oct 2020 21:25
No you're not missing anything. The amount if xp you earn for score and combo is related to 2 things, 1 of them is the amount of time that has passed (up to 2 minutes) and the other is how high your score and multiplier were. So even if you reach the adequate score and multiplier, you are only going to earn the maximum xp that can be earned at that second you ended the game.

This might be easier to imagine. Imagine when you started a run you had 250,000 score and an 8x combo in the first second. You could end the game right then but you would only get 1 xp for combo and 1 xp for score. Say then you did another run and had 250,000 points and an 8x combo in the first 10 seconds. You would only get about 5 xp for score and 5 xp for combo. But if you had only 50,000 score and a 4x combo after 10 seconds you might only get 2 xp for score and 2 xp for combo.

Basically every second (out of 2 minutes) has a maximum xp value it can give if you've reached a certain score and combo threshold. For my create a park you are completing a run in around 38-40 seconds. The maximum score or combo xp you can earn at second 38 is 24 xp. And seconds 39 and 40 is 25 xp. So you should be getting 125 per run. That is the correct amount. But the faster you can do it the faster you will level up. So if you can actually shoot for 24 xp for combo and score (meaning it only took you around 38 seconds to do the whole cycle) you will be getting significantly more xp in the longrun.

@CrAk ll do you mind if I put your clip and method into the solution? I think you have the right idea. Get a 1 million point combo as fast as possible and end the game for 300 xp. I figured it was possible to get 1 million point way faster but I was thinking about consistency. As long as your method is consistent and learnable/accessible then I'd argue that the clip you just posted really is the fastest method.

Also what button combo do you have "the 900" bound to?
0
0
By Ace Annihilates on 09 Nov 2020 02:27
@Ace Annihilates. Go ahead, I have the 900 set to up down x, that's easiest for me to spam without messing up. And I have LT as grind so I just hold that and its one less button I have to press. You can probably get to 1M faster by doing 900s and manuals, or if another map has a better grind, but this worked best for me.

Thanks for the update - tried the new method out but I’d realistically say you get 300 xp every 12 seconds. Most of my runs are 8-10 seconds but then the time to end run and reload (and I’m on a series x) it is more like 12 seconds. This works out at 90,000 an hour which is a lot more realistic in my opinion.

Okay so I've devised a method that's almost 2x quicker, you can get 1,000,000 points in about 5-7 seconds as opposed to 10. It's MUCH busier than the one posted but can help speed things up.

https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/mack-stardust/video/118136522

First you want to grind the sidewalk rather than the wall. 900 into the rail, and make sure you register a grind before doing another 900. Basically you want to clock in 5 900's and one other special trick of your choice (I suggest Varial McTwist or anything for 4k points) before landing, if you get a proper grind in between all of them, then you should end up with an 11 multiplier and around 91k points, which should JUST get you over the 1m threshold. Your combo should look like...

900 + grind + 900 + grind + 900 + grind + 900 + grind + 900 + grind + Varial McTwist (or whatever you want)

It sounds (and is) pretty chaotic but shouldn't take too long to nail the routine of. Good luck.

By xxBOYSETSFIRExx on 27 Dec 2020 18:17
Unless they changed the xp values, which I dont think they did, you should be getting 300 xp about every 10-15 seconds. If you're not getting thise results then you might not be doing the method correctly.

Even playing full 2 minute sessions for an entire hour would net you around 20,000 xp per hour.

0
By Ace Annihilates on 27 Dec 2020 22:26
You should be getting about 72,000 xp per hour, if your runs take 15 seconds. You probably get a run in 12 or 13 seconds meaning you'll get slightly more per hour. This method is by far the quickest out there. Only 10 levels to go...

Was at level 97 and basically done everything I could in the game (759/820 challenges), so I used this method. Worked like a charm and didn't get too repetitive since I was so close. Also was able to get the challenge for 30 minutes of total lip time since I was only ~6 minutes away by putting on the Perfect Lip Balance for an extra 5000 exp.

I found a way to shave 1-3 seconds off this method. If you are fast enough on the button presses you can get enough 900s without going around the bend. The biggest differences are hitting a 900 before the park entrance gap, 900 jump straight off the rail before the bend into a manual then another 900. See here: http://gameclips.io/Gamerjnb925/df3fd6a9-3275-42ad-97d9-e80f...

If you don't have enough points or multiplier you can wallplant off the green wall like here: http://gameclips.io/Gamerjnb925/f53c06b4-d64d-477e-a57c-0555...

Using the 8 hour estimate in this guide, on average saving 2 seconds per run will save you well over 1 hour.

I find grinding the curb easier, starting with a 900 or accidental boneless and tail grab instead, then performing 900s every time the grind shows on the combo. Stop the combo at 90k x12 or 80k x 13, this can be done in like 7 seconds or even 6. Also you can finish a combo while grinding if you press RT, saving like half a second instead of jumping off the grind. Might only be 3 seconds of saved time but over the hundreds and thousands of games it’ll add up

I returned to this game two years after playing it for the last time just to finish this last achievement but as expected I didn't have the necessary rhythm or skill anymore and found the grinding method in NY too hard. I then just did a long combo of multiple "900+manual" in flat ground and voilà, 1M+ in 7 to 10 seconds. NY level is still a good map 'cause you have an empty street in front of you right from the start.

Great method, thanks! It's a boring grind to be sure, but it goes by pretty fast if you can power through about 100k XP in each sitting. Only took 10 or so hours after finishing the rest of the achievements, and that was with messing up plenty of runs and slower loading times on the Xbox One.

By AlexSW1997 on 23 Jun 2023 16:41
Great method! I will say, it takes a little longer than you estimated, as the combo does only take 10 seconds, the finish screen/loading time after each run to start the next one is about 5 seconds, so it's more like 15 seconds per attempt, not 10. This is still incredibly fast. I was at level 88 after finishing everything else I felt like doing in the game, and with this method I got from 88 to 89 in about 20 minutes, and the rest of the levels should be about the same, just slightly slower each time.

Would it be possible / worth it to make a CAP for this to cut down on loading times?

Turbo method

It will take about 200 Hours after completing all other achievements.

Turn on the following mods:

No bail
Double base score

Then go to Skate Tours --> THPS 2 --> Hangar

Once loaded in do the following with your turbo controller:

Tape left joystick to the right
Turbo X
Turbo A
Turbo Y
Turbo RT if able, thanks xaero!

You are then free to let it run.

Here is a game clip of what it looks like:

I’m curious to know what exactly this does, obviously I can’t test it at the moment but want to know exactly how your earning exp.

You bounce around the map doing triple heelflips. With the Y turbo, you also bounce off the rails leading to small combos, but more points.

I'll get a clip uploaded for you guys to see.

I've embedded a clip in the solution now.

Hope it helps clear up any confusion.

I'll also add how many hours it took to turbo when done. Currently I'm halfway through level 86 and at 187 total Hours.

Yup that’s what I’ll do when I sleep and am at work, can’t be bothered to do the 155xp grind for 30 hours. I just hit 70 with pretty much all the big exp challenges done minus the multiplayer and the 100k trick ones.

Interesting method. Since I don't own a turbo for my Xbox One, I use my Horipad for Xbox 360 (also works on PC) while streaming the game to my PC. Seems like a decent idle method, but will take forever.

Where would I get a controller like that? Which one are you using?

You would have to do some digging. I have had mine for 10 or so years now.

I use an old Xbox 360 Arcade Stick with a 360 to Xbox one controller converter.

As others have said you can also stream to your pc and use the controller there.

Does your fight stick allows you to turbo multiple buttons at once or does it have a macro/assign feature? Can you just tell us the model or brand haha

Which converter do you use? I found the Brook converter online but not sure how well it is. I have a few 360 turbo controllers so good on that end.

I use the brook super converter. I've used the same set up for a few other games so it's for sure been worth the investment for me.

Just wanted to add, it might be worth turboing reverts ans acid drops. They've been helping add to my combos when it happens, thus netting me a little more XP per run.

Can anyone recommend a turbo controller for someone new to the concept? I've been trying to look into it but I'm just finding a bunch of Call of Duty rapid-fire controllers

I will try out using RT.

You really have to look at 360 turbo controllers. To my knowledge, there isnt much if anything of a native xbox one turbo controller.

Any estimated time for this method @Frank9080? Been doing it for about 24 hours straight now. Works well, but I'm a little worried about my Xbox, lol. Doing decent progress but I'm only at level 72. Was around 68 when I started.

My brooks super converter came in today and it works perfect with my hori Xbox 360 turbo controller. This is going to take A LONG time just letting it turbo while your away. You should tack up the 100,000 flip trick challenge in no time with this method so that’s a free 5000 exp lol.

I'd say about 375-400 Hours, about 5 to 6 times as long as the normal grind, but for a turbo its not at all a bad ratio. I should be done in another 8 or so days.

Turboing RT as well for sure helps, and not in an insignificant way. I think my average XP went up by about 20 to 25, I'll probably scale my estimate down by about 20% once I get my final hour count.

Maybe 67 or 68. But I also did have it quite right when I started letting it run, either. So it's hard for me to say exactly. I'm at 240 hours and about to hit 92.

I also have 9000 xp in challenges stacked for when I get to 99 so I can make sure I see the achievement actually pop.

I'm on a hori controller and getting decent results putting right and up on the dpad on turbo also. Still testing it to see how it goes but get at least 160k a run without double score.

Also, I turbo'd B instead of X and got about 40k grab tricks and 20k xp in 7 hours

Would you say that doing grabs instead of flip tricks net more points?

By xaero on 20 Sep 2020 18:07
It gives you much higher score. I get 200-400k each run. I turbo A, B, Y, RT, Right DPAD, and UP Dpad

I let it ran with B instead of X while I was out for about 3 hours. I started at a fresh level 96 and in 3 hours, I got halfway to the next level. Grabs are definitely the way to go.

Can confirm grabd are 100% the way to go. I get 350k points in a run consistently instead of as low as 75k with flips. Rubber band on up and right on the dpad, nothing on the left stick at all, and turbo running on A, B, and Y (though not sure Y matters).

Result is about 85xp per run very consistently. Which by my calculations would be about 320 hours straight assuming 125 seconds per run if starting from absolute zero.

On the Hori controller do not put it on full speed. Your character will go forever and I woke up to a 413 million point combo with 2700 tricks in it. You won't get as much xp for all of that as a normal run, so leave it on the slower speed.

Turbo A, B, Y, RT and rubberband your left stick like this: https://imgur.com/a/BoChIEy
You want your skater to do the "judo" grab trick, reverts and acid drops. You will constantly get 300-400k points, sometimes even more. ~85xp every two minutes. Took me around 200 hours from level 68 to 100.

To anyone turboing, my advice would be to turn off Y. I woke up this morning to find myself stuck in a neverending combo which had racked up billions but of course no XP runs. Looked like it was a glitch caused on the pipe forcing the combo to continue nonstop. Thinking it was a one off I let it continue just to come back and see it had happened again 4 hours later!

For those who are trying to get their hands on a turbo controller it seemed impossible (especially the Hori ones) try the TITAN Two's. Its a script device but allows you to drop a turbo script on for use.
There's also other scripts which allow you to macro a set of controls which will indefinitely repeat! I've used that specifically on lots of grindy achievements!

Echo @Ashdo suggestion above. Devices that can run scripts like the Titans and Cronus are perfect for this. Managed to pick up a Cronus Zen in the UK and has been working great so far

I used ReWASD to switch RB and RT because my turbo controller has to be used with console companion streaming to work with my X1, and it won’t turbo the triggers for some reason. But being able to turbo your reverts and acid drops with everything else is a game changer. It was the difference between 40-50xp runs and 150xp runs.

@ResinousHashish there is a list somewhere on here for a load of achievements which can be turbo’d in games. Slightly outdated though I believe, but I am positive this won’t be the last time you use it lol

So I have a SFIV TE controller for 360. I plug it into my computer and it loads the drivers, everything is functional. I can even hit the Xbox Button and it brings up Game Bar. It will also navigate the Xbox Console Companion App as well. Whenever I stream though I constantly get the "No Controller Connected" message, WHICH I CAN CLICK CONTINUE ON WITH THE SFIV CONTROLLER.

Is anyone else having this issue? Do I need the new "Xbox Beta App" instead of the Console Companion?

Whelp, I tried with my other wired 360 controller and it worked flawless. Naturally, my controller that is Turbo Compatible doesn't work.

I've been doing this overnight and an hour or 2 of hands on grinding a day. Just for anyone who is curious, I've had 2 minute runs getting 50xp and I've runs getting 120 xp. Its basically luck and is wildly random. You're looking at roughly 2200xp per hour doing this. Considering you need almost 800,000 to get the achievement, well......thumbs up for this! Helped me figure out my Titan One setup.

EDIT: I want to add that after reading the comments I started doing grabs and I definitely agree that turboing grabs is better than flip tricks though.

It really takes on forever. I'm on level 96 and done nearly every challenge that nets XP. Only ones missing are the Manual and Lip Tricks challenges. Even turboing takes forever. Turbo method for 4 hours, not even half a level of experience. The end of round bonus also really low, I'm getting only 50-60 XP every 2 min round with this method. Grabbing for me doesn't help. Maybe depends on the grab? The triple heelflip allows for more combos to happen for me.

Don't forget that when you receive rewards for various challenges, you still need to, roughly speaking, "cash them in." In the Challenges menu, on a completed challenge, click Claim , so you will get a reward and experience. However, all the tests will be enough for you to raise the level only 78-80, then only fierce farming.

I don't recommend going into multiplayer. Not only do they give less experience than in singleplayer, but they're also broken - the game can throw an error during a match and damage your save (I flew from level 92 to 62, and if it weren't for the backup save in the cloud, I would have returned to zero). People complain about this on foreign forums too. This is what happens in multiplayer, so don't set foot there!

Pay attention to Skate Park Challenges > Forbidden Connectors . There are 17 challenges, most of them easy, and despite what is written there that they only give 2 thousand bucks per challenge, in fact for each such challenge you also get 5 thousand experience. After completing them all, which will take you from an hour to 3 depending on your skills, you will get a total of over 85 thousand experience.

The fastest way I found (current as of March 2021)

1. set indie 900 on the up-down arrows
2. enable all mods
3. go to any map (I launched downtown, there is a convenient gap at the beginning and then just a straight line)
4. After the start, without stopping, we jerk the left stick up and down and spam circle and cross. The point is that this way the character continuously makes an expensive trick and gets into manual, thus very quickly gaining a million points.
5. restart

For one try you get 300 exp (150 for the combo and 150 for the total amount of points), each try takes about 8-10 seconds.

In the editor, we have already made a park specifically for the boost, we search for Experience farm 10k/hour in the search, launch it, 10 seconds manual, then 10 seconds lip trick, then 10 seconds grind and at the end we hold triangle to get a combo.

I advise you to pay attention to the challenges from the category of speedrun (hard), combo (platinum) and gap challenges normal. For completing them, you more or less get experience. They are easy to complete. Personally, I got lvl 70 by completing challenges. I also advise you to install mods and leave the console overnight to farm challenges for 10 hours manual, grind and lip. For them, you get 5k experience. And then there is only online ... the most stuffy trophy in the game.

I leveled up on the Experience Farm 1.09 Easy map, having received all the trophies except level 100, I was level 74. My advice on this map for farming is to do a manual at the start, up to 700 points, for this you will get 25 experience, and to get 1,000,000 points on the first side of Rail , in one combo, for this you will get 150 experience, and that's +- 175 experience in 20-30 seconds. Under a movie, a video on YouTube, a stream, a series, up to level 100, we repeat.

For reference, I leveled up from 82 to 83 (that's 17,550 experience) in 42 minutes (41:31:45 on the stopwatch).

The last 10 levels, pumped without a manual, comes out much faster from 99 to 100 (this is 28,750 experience) in 34 minutes (on the stopwatch 33:50:39).

But to do this you need to score 1,000,000 points as quickly as possible. When you delay you build a combo, up to x20-30, let go and rejecting to the right or to the left, as if trying to fly off the Rail , and you will spin for this, the points are multiplied and thus it is easy to score 60k - 200k points with a multiplier of more than 1,000,000, which gives 150 experience and so we repeat, the faster the better. Also, before jumping off the Rail and starting to spin, you need to score 20-30k points with special tricks, otherwise, you will not score 60-200k points.
The most difficult trophy for me was, as I spent more than 40 hours on leveling from 74 to 100 , but I think that with this tip, you will definitely get it faster.

The longest trophy in the game. Reaching level 100 will require ultra farming - all challenges at level 100 will not boost.
So far, the most valid way to farm "hundred" is to ride Downtown with the modifiers of rail, manual and lip set. By holding on to each trick (grind, lip and manual) for 10 seconds, you can get 25 XP for each upon completion of the level. Plus XP for the number of tricks in the combo and for the final number of points (maximum - 75 XP). In total, you can pull out more than 100 XP in a minute. Then - fierce grind, repeat until the roof goes.
This is very long. Video guide .

A relatively fast way to farm experience has appeared ~320exp/20-30 seconds.
1. Turn on the manual balance mods, always special, double score and no crashes
2. Bind the trick "The 900" to the button combinations that are convenient for us. I had it installed on
3. Go to Tour mode. I like the Philadelphia map - at the start there is enough space to perform manuals and a minimum of unnecessary objects that can disrupt the combo. But you can choose any other.
4. From the very beginning, we spam combos from manuals and "The 900". Since we have cancelled falls and have an unlimited balance, it is impossible to screw up such a combo. You need to score 1,000,000 points and land boldly. We exit through End Run, then Retry. We repeat the fourth point until we go wild.

For one incomplete round we get 150xp for Total score, 150xp for Best Combo and about 25xp for manual duration. Total ~325exp. For me, gaining a million takes about 15-20 seconds + time for restart.

A similar method should work in Multiplayer (Private match - Score challenge).
