However, the amount of XP to go from level 1 to level 100 has stayed the same. So the google spreadsheet is still relevant and accurate.
Google Spreadsheet:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DHfhV0DybXTsMj0E6ZeJ...
The new method is actually much simpler and much faster than the previous methods of earning XP.
I tested the new XP values and now it seems that the maximum amount of XP that you can earn, in a 2 minute session, is 675 XP. Whereas, with the previous methods, with the old XP values, the highest amount of XP you could earn in a 2 minute session was 225 XP, so this is a major upgrade.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This 675 XP number comes from these criteria that must be met in a 2 minute session:
- Holding a manual for 10 seconds straight = 25 XP.
- Holding a lip trick for 10 seconds straight = 25 XP.
- Holding a grind trick for 10 seconds straight = 25 XP.
- Having a total score over 1,000,000 points = 150 XP.
- Having a single combo that equaled more than 1,000,000 points = 150 XP.
- Finishing an entire 2 minute session, without ending the session early = 300 XP.
So 25+25+25+150+150+300 = 675 XP, per 2 minute session.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now 675 XP every 2 minutes, sounds really nice, but its possible to get even more than 675 XP in a 2 minute time span.
This is because 300 of the XP, that you can earn, you get for doing a 1,000,000 point combo and for having over 1,000,000 total points. This means that you can earn 300 XP as fast as you can do a single 1,000,000 point combo and then ending the game.
In the comments of this solution, CrAk ll posted a video clip of him doing a 1,000,000 point combo, in around 10 seconds, on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2's "NY City" map. Because in those 10 seconds, he did a single 1,000,000 point combo and earned over 1,000,000 points total, he earned 300 XP in 10 seconds. Once he ended the game, he would just press "Retry Level" and do it again. Using CrAk ll's method, you can earn around 3600 XP, every 2 minutes. Which is 108,000 XP per hour. Which is incredible. Using this method, you could go from level 1-100 in about 8 hours of boosting XP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Below I will outline how the method works and then I will post CrAk ll's clip of him doing it. I will also post a clip of me replicating the method, so you guys can see just how easy it is to replicate.
- Before attempting to do the method, make sure that you go into your game mods and make sure to turn on, "Perfect Rail Balance", "Perfect Manual Balance", "Always Special", "No Bails" and "Double Base Score". If you are missing "Double Base Score" in your game mods options, it is because you have not finished the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour. You must complete the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour and unlock and turn on the "Double Base Score" Game Mod for this method to work.
- Next, make sure to go into your skater's special tricks and map the special move, "The 900", to a button combo. CrAk ll said that he has the move mapped to . When I went to go replicate the method I mapped the move to the button combo . Its whatever you prefer really, but we will be spamming this move quite a few times per run, so make sure its a button combo that's easy to remember and one that you won't mind pressing over and over again.
- Once the proper Game Mods are turned on and "The 900" is mapped to the button combo of your choice, click on "Skate Tour" from the main menu, go over to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 and then select the map "NY City".
-Once you've loaded in, you want to immediately start grinding the wall to your left. There will be a small gap in the wall that you need to jump over. When you go to jump over the gap, you want to do "The 900" while in the air, and then start grinding again, once you've cleared the gap. As soon as you land and start grinding again, you then want to continue jumping, doing "The 900" and then regrinding, down the length of the wall. However, there is a bend in the wall to the left. As you approach the bend in the wall, don't press any button inputs until your character is going in a straight line again, or you'll just jump off the wall onto the street. By the time you reach the chain link fence, at the end of the wall, you should have enough base score + multiplier to hit over a million points. Simply land on the street, wait for the score to pop up in blue text at the bottom of the screen and then pause and press "End Session". Observe how much XP you earned and then press "Retry Level" and repeat the process again.
Here are the 2 clips of me and CrAk ll doing the method:
CrAk ll's clip - https://gameclips.io/CrAk%20ll/926b2381-eed5-451a-961a-43f9a...
My clip - https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/ace-annihilates/video/115700861
At first glance, it does look quite hard to replicate and a little scary. But it honestly only takes a couple tries to get the rhythm down. The button combo I assigned to the move "The 900" was . So, as an example, the buttons being pressed in the clip is literally just, (to jump in the air), then (while in the air, to do "The 900") and then (to grind on the wall again). And you basically just keep spamming those same buttons except for when you're going around the lefthand bend in the wall. CrAk ll also said he assigned his button to be his grind button. So if you are having trouble jumping, doing "The 900" and then grinding again, try changing your grind button to and just hold the button down and your character should always grind when you land.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If anyone finds a faster way to get a single 1,000,000 point combo, please let me know in the comments. I tried to explain the method to the best of my ability and some people might still find it confusing. Therefore, if anyone is having trouble understanding the method or how it works, please don't hesitate to ask me for clarification.

another method not including load times, would be to combine all your 10 sec grind, 10 sec manual,10 sec lip, and combo into one big combo. quit out at 45 seconds which would give you 135 exp in 45 seconds. 10.800 exp per hour
not sure how load times would effect this & if it would even be worth it. but thought I would mention it!
Any further testing by anyone else would be appreciated. Who knows, there could be a way to earn idle xp somehow or a way to earn more with a different method, like create a park or something. And new methods with higher outcomes saves all of us time so hopefully we can make this a collaborative effort.
I can also confirm that @Shand Alk3 Create a Park called “Exp boost” works well & I was able to do it consistently every time with this. There is also basically no load time at all in between
There is no timer which can be a bit annoying, but besides that it works nicely!
(**when I first loaded the park I spawned on the bottom & was a bit confused. but after I reloaded it, it spawned me up top by the ramp)
As for create a park I cant ever get a consistent time using that method. If someone who prefers that method would like to do some testing I'd be interested in seeing those numbers as well. But I got comfortable with the downtown method and have been getting consistent 45 second runs. So I'm sticking with that unless someone finds something better.
Our actual experience may differ from the Downtown method though. I get 75 from the 10 second parts but only 64 from the score /combo portion because it's only been 45 seconds. I get a score of 400,000+ every time so I think it's just the time. If I stay another 15 seconds I bet I'll get more. Then restarting the run is instant with no loading.
So, in 45 seconds, what's the experience you get from the score/combo in Downtown?
The reason why is because the score and combo XP is strictly dependent on the time youve been playing. The game takes into account how many seconds you've been playing and what your score is and gives you XP based on that. But the 10 seconds manual, grind and lip XP is not dependent on how long youve been playing, so its better to restart as quickly as you can, because that means that youre spending less time waiting around for the time based XP.
If you don't believe me, you can try both methods, with a stop watch or something. Take note of your XP and do an hour of 1 minute runs and do an hour of 45 minutes runs. And compare in which hour you got more XP.
@Bobby Blane3 Your observation is consistent with what Ive been seeing. If you know what the numbers are for absolute sure, please don't hesitate to input the Level XP values thatyou know, into my spreadsheet.

IMO, getting all the other achievements and unlocking every skater's pro video should get you close to 100 (since it basically means you've done everything there is to do), but as other users said this only takes you to the 70s.
Also, a couple questions:
1. For the multiplayer achievements, can you get them with just two controllers?
2. Does doing this 10 manual/10 grind/10 lip method on a create-a-park give you more XP? Is it just preference?
Yes the multiplayer achievements can be done in local coop with a second controller.
Basically what Ace said, but adding to that, I also build a 10x multiplier on the lip and get about 65000k x 10 to get a bonus 150xp. Takes about 2 minutes per run. Much slower, but a little less tedious given that I get to do other things. Sorry for not clarifying in the original comment, was at work and couldn't comment in depth.
I just happened to find yours by chance and used it for a bit. It's great haha, thanks for making the park.
happens on every map I've tried so far
Rant aside though, your guide is great. Thanks for the breakdown and the map.
And now that I missed that milestone, I can stop caring about this indefinitely and go back to enjoying the game lmao
On top of that my XBox fans also go full blast like it's some goddam miracle to render a menu with some pictures and it's demanding every single resource from my One X. When game loads, of course fans stop spinnings because yeah. It's the menu that is hard to render.
On top of a stupid ass grind, I have to deal with a broken menu system. Am I the only one???
Level 97 on this. Almost there, but I pretty much can't take it anymore. One of the worst grinds I have ever done.
This might be easier to imagine. Imagine when you started a run you had 250,000 score and an 8x combo in the first second. You could end the game right then but you would only get 1 xp for combo and 1 xp for score. Say then you did another run and had 250,000 points and an 8x combo in the first 10 seconds. You would only get about 5 xp for score and 5 xp for combo. But if you had only 50,000 score and a 4x combo after 10 seconds you might only get 2 xp for score and 2 xp for combo.
Basically every second (out of 2 minutes) has a maximum xp value it can give if you've reached a certain score and combo threshold. For my create a park you are completing a run in around 38-40 seconds. The maximum score or combo xp you can earn at second 38 is 24 xp. And seconds 39 and 40 is 25 xp. So you should be getting 125 per run. That is the correct amount. But the faster you can do it the faster you will level up. So if you can actually shoot for 24 xp for combo and score (meaning it only took you around 38 seconds to do the whole cycle) you will be getting significantly more xp in the longrun.

I also rebound grind to LT to make it easier to spam specials.
Also what button combo do you have "the 900" bound to?
https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/mack-stardust/video/118136522
First you want to grind the sidewalk rather than the wall. 900 into the rail, and make sure you register a grind before doing another 900. Basically you want to clock in 5 900's and one other special trick of your choice (I suggest Varial McTwist or anything for 4k points) before landing, if you get a proper grind in between all of them, then you should end up with an 11 multiplier and around 91k points, which should JUST get you over the 1m threshold. Your combo should look like...
900 + grind + 900 + grind + 900 + grind + 900 + grind + 900 + grind + Varial McTwist (or whatever you want)
It sounds (and is) pretty chaotic but shouldn't take too long to nail the routine of. Good luck.
Even playing full 2 minute sessions for an entire hour would net you around 20,000 xp per hour.
If you don't have enough points or multiplier you can wallplant off the green wall like here: http://gameclips.io/Gamerjnb925/f53c06b4-d64d-477e-a57c-0555...
Using the 8 hour estimate in this guide, on average saving 2 seconds per run will save you well over 1 hour.
Would recommend doing the grinds with special tricks on the Philadelphia map. There are some good clips on YouTube. Same 300xp every 10secs
Youre right. I just got home from work and tried it and it seems that for the 38-45 seconds runs that are optimal for this achievement, that the xp values are unchanged, so that is really good news for everybody.
Would it be possible / worth it to make a CAP for this to cut down on loading times?

It will take about 200 Hours after completing all other achievements.
Turn on the following mods:
No bail
Double base score
Then go to Skate Tours --> THPS 2 --> Hangar
Once loaded in do the following with your turbo controller:
Tape left joystick to the right
Turbo X
Turbo A
Turbo Y
Turbo RT if able, thanks xaero!
You are then free to let it run.
Here is a game clip of what it looks like:

I'll get a clip uploaded for you guys to see.
Hope it helps clear up any confusion.
I'll also add how many hours it took to turbo when done. Currently I'm halfway through level 86 and at 187 total Hours.
I use an old Xbox 360 Arcade Stick with a 360 to Xbox one controller converter.
As others have said you can also stream to your pc and use the controller there.
You really have to look at 360 turbo controllers. To my knowledge, there isnt much if anything of a native xbox one turbo controller.
Turboing RT as well for sure helps, and not in an insignificant way. I think my average XP went up by about 20 to 25, I'll probably scale my estimate down by about 20% once I get my final hour count.
I also have 9000 xp in challenges stacked for when I get to 99 so I can make sure I see the achievement actually pop.
Also, I turbo'd B instead of X and got about 40k grab tricks and 20k xp in 7 hours
Result is about 85xp per run very consistently. Which by my calculations would be about 320 hours straight assuming 125 seconds per run if starting from absolute zero.
You want your skater to do the "judo" grab trick, reverts and acid drops. You will constantly get 300-400k points, sometimes even more. ~85xp every two minutes. Took me around 200 hours from level 68 to 100.
There's also other scripts which allow you to macro a set of controls which will indefinitely repeat! I've used that specifically on lots of grindy achievements!
Is anyone else having this issue? Do I need the new "Xbox Beta App" instead of the Console Companion?
Whelp, I tried with my other wired 360 controller and it worked flawless. Naturally, my controller that is Turbo Compatible doesn't work.
EDIT: I want to add that after reading the comments I started doing grabs and I definitely agree that turboing grabs is better than flip tricks though.

I don't recommend going into multiplayer. Not only do they give less experience than in singleplayer, but they're also broken - the game can throw an error during a match and damage your save (I flew from level 92 to 62, and if it weren't for the backup save in the cloud, I would have returned to zero). People complain about this on foreign forums too. This is what happens in multiplayer, so don't set foot there!

1. set indie 900 on the up-down arrows
2. enable all mods
3. go to any map (I launched downtown, there is a convenient gap at the beginning and then just a straight line)
4. After the start, without stopping, we jerk the left stick up and down and spam circle and cross. The point is that this way the character continuously makes an expensive trick and gets into manual, thus very quickly gaining a million points.
5. restart
For one try you get 300 exp (150 for the combo and 150 for the total amount of points), each try takes about 8-10 seconds.
Video guide
For reference, I leveled up from 82 to 83 (that's 17,550 experience) in 42 minutes (41:31:45 on the stopwatch).
The last 10 levels, pumped without a manual, comes out much faster from 99 to 100 (this is 28,750 experience) in 34 minutes (on the stopwatch 33:50:39).
But to do this you need to score 1,000,000 points as quickly as possible. When you delay you build a combo, up to x20-30, let go and rejecting to the right or to the left, as if trying to fly off the Rail , and you will spin for this, the points are multiplied and thus it is easy to score 60k - 200k points with a multiplier of more than 1,000,000, which gives 150 experience and so we repeat, the faster the better. Also, before jumping off the Rail and starting to spin, you need to score 20-30k points with special tricks, otherwise, you will not score 60-200k points.
The most difficult trophy for me was, as I spent more than 40 hours on leveling from 74 to 100 , but I think that with this tip, you will definitely get it faster.
So far, the most valid way to farm "hundred" is to ride Downtown with the modifiers of rail, manual and lip set. By holding on to each trick (grind, lip and manual) for 10 seconds, you can get 25 XP for each upon completion of the level. Plus XP for the number of tricks in the combo and for the final number of points (maximum - 75 XP). In total, you can pull out more than 100 XP in a minute. Then - fierce grind, repeat until the roof goes.
This is very long. Video guide .
1. Turn on the manual balance mods, always special, double score and no crashes
2. Bind the trick "The 900" to the button combinations that are convenient for us. I had it installed on
3. Go to Tour mode. I like the Philadelphia map - at the start there is enough space to perform manuals and a minimum of unnecessary objects that can disrupt the combo. But you can choose any other.
4. From the very beginning, we spam combos from manuals and "The 900". Since we have cancelled falls and have an unlimited balance, it is impossible to screw up such a combo. You need to score 1,000,000 points and land boldly. We exit through End Run, then Retry. We repeat the fourth point until we go wild.
For one incomplete round we get 150xp for Total score, 150xp for Best Combo and about 25xp for manual duration. Total ~325exp. For me, gaining a million takes about 15-20 seconds + time for restart.
A similar method should work in Multiplayer (Private match - Score challenge).
