How to unlock the Archivist to the Aesir achievement in Too Human - Definitive Guide
I would like to confirm that buying color runes (and salvaging them) counts towards this achievement. It unlocked while I was buying color runes. I'm pretty sure salvaged items still count towards this achievement because when I received it, I had a total of 6,900 items on the leaderboards.

Because it's been four years since I've played this game, his words are probably better than what I could write now! See his comment below and good luck! Thanks Shinerbock88!

Did some research, and there was indeed a update that fixed this exploit. You will have to clear your hard drives cache, if you want to it this way.

This solution totally works. I did it myself. You do not need to clear your hard drive cache. Do not listen to the people saying you have to clear the drive cache. Just buy color runes from the armor shop and salvage them over and over.

I'd like to add that the item count is accumulative between all characters, and if you acquire 6,000 as a defender, for instance, and 1,500 as a beserker then you will still get the achievement. Just be patient.

Thanks for this confirmation, that does help a lot.

Keep the best for last
-------------------------------
Best thing is to keep this achievement for last. You will gather a lot of items in the normal course of the game and while trying to get the unstoppables. No need to grind for it when you just start the game unless you are really impatient
Which method to use?
---------------------------------
You could buy all your items from the shops but then again, you most likely won't get elite armor this way ;)
So I decided to do some spider farming. You can find all about this method on this site: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=14...

Why this method ?
----------------------------
You might ask yourself why spider farming when I can buy colored runes in the shop? Well it's very simple: You can't buy Elite (or Epic) armor in the shop. When I started to use this method I had +5500 items collected (you can check your progress in the leaderboards). When my achievement unlocked I had 7457 items collected. Meanwhile I got 3 pieces of Elite armor.
My experience
---------------------
- While spider farming press . On the right side of you HUD you will see DAMAGE. Each time you hit an enemy you will see how much damage it does. Some of these spiders only did 1 or 2 damage after their shield was gone. Just rinse and repeat the proces. These spiders won't give beter items, they are just harder to kill and a waste of time.
- Also avoid Elite spiders. You won't see a difference in name but these spiders are bigger and have a bronze/gold (whatever) color. Same as above, these spiders won't give beter items. Rinse and repeat.
- Playing online co-op with or without a partner gives more items then single player. I had that impression at least ;D Another advantage of playing online is that you aren't stuck up with Thor and his annoying oneliners anymore!
- Use a laser weapon with a good range and reload speed. Use some runes to increase those two skills.
- Also make sure your loot drop chance is at +15%
- You can keep track of you progress on the leaderboards. Mine unlocked at 7457 so I suppose all items across all characters count.

Well an EASY way to get this achievement now is just to clear your system cache (in your xbox system settings), play offline, and buy/sell back color runes.
color runes wont run out, theyre cheap, and you can get 60 runes and sell them in appoximately 2 minutes.
in 10 minutes you should have 300 runes.
1800 in an hour.
Its best to do this after the rest of your achievements have popped, as you will collect about 5000 total in your main human and cybernetic runs.
your total time boosting this way should only take about 2 hours.

When you kill enemies/search totems, you will receive items such as weapon, armor, blueprints, runes, etc. You need to collect 7500 items total from drops for the achievement to unlock.
