How to unlock the In the NORN's Favor achievement in Too Human - Definitive Guide

Act 1: Hall Of Heroes - 4 Wells

1. You can't miss this, as you'll go into it to progress in the campaign. The well is located at the top of a steep set of stairs after you kill the troll hidden under the rubble. You will learn the push ability.

2. After you cross the long bridge, you'll enter another large room. Go down the steps. Across the floor is another set of steps going up with a well, which unlocks the 3 rooms nearby.

3. In the next room is a staircase to your left and right. The well is in between the two staircases.

4. Cross the bridge and ride the floor down. In the next room at the end to the left of the door is a well at the top of some stairs.

Act 2: The Ice Forest - 4 Wells

1. Throughout this level are purple launch pads that shoot you up to another section of the level. When you land, after taking the first turn to your right, attack the wall to find the well on a section of the platform.

2. You will walk right past the well on your left. Continue on through the level, and find a jump pad that will launch you to it.

3. Later in the level, you must destroy generators to lower a platform with the well on it. After destroying the last generator, you'll need to go into well to progress the story -- you can't miss it.

4. After the cut-scene featuring hods, turn around and go back, and the well is on your right.

Act 3: The Worlds Serpent - 4 Wells

1. The first well is right at the start of the act.

2. Later in the level, you'll enter a room with two trolls that aren't moving. The well is in this room.

3. Later in the level, you'll enter a room with two trolls launching grenades, and a part of floor will disappear. After killing everything, head through the door and across the bridge into another room.

In the next room, go across another bridge and then go down the ramp to another well.

4. Further through the level is a room with a giant sphere that looks like something out of Event Horizon. The well is on a platform net.

Act 4: Helheim - 5 Wells

1. A tank will destroy a giant metal door at the bottom of the hill. In the next room, move forward until you can go to your left. The well will be right in front of you.

2. Further into the act, you'll see a cut-scene showing troops crossing a bridge that later collapses, leaving only one way to go. After walking along this long path, go through the big door, and in the next room, walk on the ramp heading down. The well is near the bottom of the ramp.

3. A few rooms further along is a walkway above you that connects to the right and left of the main area. Just past this is a ramp to your right that has a well at the bottom.

4. Shortly after killing Garm, you'll ride a lift up and in the next area there will be some stairs to your left. On the opposite side of the room from the stairs is a breakable wall with another well behind.

5. In the next room is the last well on the right-hand side of the room.

Are there any side notes about this achievement? I have went back and found the ones I missed. I have also replayed the game afresh. Unfortunately I entered the World Tree twice. So I still don't have this achievement.

I found that the Cyberspace Wells do not count toward your total unless they are done in the single player campaign. Tried this in Co-Op/online and it doesnt work.

I also found out you have to visit the world tree at least once in single player for a total of 18 wells.

I can also confirm that when it says 18/18 wells found you will not get the achievement. This happened to me, luckly I decided to try the world tree well again and then it popped.

If you have 18/18 and no chievo go to the well after helheim before you go to the feisting hall.

I don't quite understand the tokens. like the achievement says you have found all tokens in this area. Doesn't that mean you found all the wells is that area or am I mistaken. I remember finding the first 3 before just not a 4th

the 3rd well I'm still not able to find it. Can you give me a better description?

The tokens are for completing a section of the level. The tokens just show how far in a level you are.
For the 3rd well in Helheim the well is on the right side. Before you see the well there will be a bridge with a leader on it. You then turn left down a alley then turn left agian towards a door. On the left is the well. I hope it helps. If it doesn't said me a message and I will show you where it is in game.

I just got the achievement and what I did was: I started a new character and played the campaign and got all the wells. I got the World Tree well after the end cinematic for the Ice Forest (after the cinematic, you are right in front of the World Tree).

i just got the achievement and all i did was get all the original wells in this solution then right after killing hel i went to the world tree. it popped instantly. Also a little tip: start a new character and just ru through the campaign on single player story. yes it is boring and lots of cinematics but it does secure the achievement for you

I agree with McStrips, you have to do this in single player with a new character, go through campaign from start to end, pick up the World Tree well after Ice Forest and you will get the achievement at the last well on Helheim.

This achievement will glitch if you replay a level or co-op before collecting all wells.

P.s. You only have 17wells in your solution.

I went to the world tree well after "World Serpent", but I can confirm that just making a completely new character and going through the game will get the achievement. I did a complete level in one sitting before quitting out if that made any difference.

I made an entirely new character and played all levels through without replaying or doing coop, getting all wells, and the achievement DID NOT pop once I visited the World Tree after killing Hel.

I am playing this on XBox One and I was able to pop this after completing the game.

It was not until my second playthrough with my original character that I entered the world tree portal voluntarily (the portals within this portal don't seem to count), and soon after I entered my last remaining mission portal which was the first one of level 2, this is when it popped.

I DID NOT use the map terminal at Aesir to play the level, I just played the campaign through. I avoided this based on the comments here, but cannot verify myself it it voids achievement tracking.

So I just want to confirm that if you missed all the wells on your first playthrough, then you can still pop this achievement.

I have posted this because i found some of the descriptions a bit vague in the solution already posted.

WELL LOCATIONS/NIDHOG LOCATIONS GUIDE

There are wells located within missions and those based around the World Tree. For the achievement you need 17 wells that are found during missions, so the wells in the World Tree do not add to this tally although you will need to visit the World Tree Well at least once as the entrance well counts as one well.

Level 1 Hall of Heroes - 4 wells

1.After beating the first troll and as part of the story. enter well to receive push ability.

2.After crossing the walkway outside head down the slope and up the stairs, it's on the left next to a statue. This enables you to push a switch to unlock three doors.

3.After the room with the vehicle in the middle, the next area starts off on a staircase. Head down and the well is on your right behind you. This allows you to unlock a door to access the bridge in this room and access to secret area.

4.After crossing the second outside walkway and going up the lift there is a small indoor walkway the well is on the left and open the locked door you need to open to progress. - There is a Nidhog mist location and a Water walking location here. Ignore these for now as you'll gain the water walking ability in level 3.

World Tree - after hall of heroes

Go through opened gate and approach the four doors. head to the door number 2 (from left to right - left door is 1 and right door is 4) as the other three are locked for now. Ignore the well in the center. As you go through the door and follow the path there is a well at the dead end.

Once through the well there is an area you can water walk to but you'll have to return here later; head to your left and follow the pathway to a door which needs pushing open. Go through door and when the path forks take the left route to reach a second Nidhog location. Ignore this for now as you lack the skill to deal with this. So go straight ahead from the door you just came through. You come to a second fork with the left path taking you to another water walk area and the right path another liftable door. Ignore these for now - you'll get the lift ability in level 2.

Level 2 Ice Forest - 4 wells

5.After taking the first jumper as you land on your right there is a breakable door in the wall. destroy this. Once through the well on your left there is a Nidhog location and on your right a pushable door.

6.As you walk along the walkway you'll see a well which you cannot get to. Once you pass the red barrier keep following the path and you'll circle back round to a jump which leads you to the well. Once activated you'll be treated to a cut scene and a pushable tree to help you progress.

7.The next well will be your destination after shooting the boxes to lower a platform. It's a long route here and is part of the story objective so you can't miss it. inside is a pushable door and the Lift skill ability.

8.After the very first cutscene with Hod if you go back on yourself you'll see a throne and an obvious well opposite. The well opens up the secret door behind the throne by lifting the door inside the well.

The World Tree Part 2

Now that we are back here again, remember the four doors, well now you can enter the door on the far left this time. Enter here and follow the path which leads to another well.

Once through the well you'll see a liftable door on your left, continue down the path and take the first left turn - keep going and it'll lead to another Nidhog location. There's also another pushable door where there's another Nidhog location.

There's also another water walk area through some already open doors near here. Don't forget to go back through door 2 of the 4 doors to open the liftable door for more items.

Level 3 The World Serpent - 4 wells

9.At the start of the mission you'll see the well in front of you, entering here unlocks the door. After you exit the spinning room, carry onwards and another well will be nearby as you cross an invisible walkway. This well takes you back to the start and is not included in the tally as it's an exit well.

10.The Second well is in the room where there are two inactive trolls. Entering here grants you the Water Walking ability. It also contains a Nidhog location. To complete this area walk across the water and once you are on the panel push the giant doorway twice and then lift.

11.In the room with the transformers (glass cases with electricity above them) theres a well on your left, follow the path round to get there. (this is in the room before the big robotic arm - don't go through door as it locks once you go through).

12.You'll come to a large room with a rotating sphere in the middle, the Well is on the other side of this.

The World Tree Part 3

First off, now you have the water walking ability head to door number 1 of the four doors (far left) and head to the water area to grab some goodies.

Now go to door number 2 of the 4 doors and go through 1st well like before. Now turn right and walk across nearby water to grab the goodies. follow the path where you opened the door and go past the Nidhog on left and keep going until you reach the door you lifted before. Turn left before this doorway and walk across the water. Turn Left and you'll reach another Nidhog Location.

Now back at the four doors, head for door number 4 (far right). A well is at the end here. If you go down to the lake and follow the water under the bridge you'll come to an area with another Nidhog location.

Now open the pushable doors and go over the bridge you went under earlier. in this areas there is a liftable door. Open it and you'll see in the distance another Nidhog location.

Level 4 Helheim - 5 wells

13.After the scene where the tanks destroy the doors, you'll come to a flat open area filled with the undead. It has a metal floor. On the far left there is the first well guarded by elite undeads.

14.After the long section on the walkways and after the undead come from the ramp. You go through a double door (with red glowing marks on it) into a more open area. If you go to the right walkway and head down you'll come to a well.

15.As you approach another Red marked door in the distance, there is a walkway above you and a turning to your right down a small ramp, there is another well here.

16.Once you got off the rather long winded lift ride upwards you'll come to an open area with stairs on the left and vent which spews red gas in the middle of the room. Opposite the stairs and on your right there is a destructible wall leading to a secret area with a well inside.

17.Immediately after this area you'll go through some doors. There's a waterfall on your left. The well is located a bit further down on the right (you can't miss it). For me using all the wells in this guide up until now this unlocked the achievement. My stats say 18 wells activated. This well grants you the FIRE ability which allows you to destroy the Nidhog mist.

IF YOU'VE NOT GONE THROUGH THE WELL AT THE WORLD TREE YET THEN DO SO NOW AND YOU SHOULD UNLOCK THE ACHIEVEMENT FOR THE 18TH WELL.

The World Tree Part 4

This is the first time that you'll have all abilities to deal with all types of door and of course the fire ability to deal with Nidhog locations. Head to the area with the previously mentioned four doors and head for the last locked door (door number 3 when looking at them from left to right).

Follow the path to the end and you'll reach a well. In front of you is a liftable door. Open it and go through follow the path (crossing the water). You come to another liftable door. Open it and go through. You go through a rocky pathway and will reach a Nidhog location. Now go back to the well.

To the right of the well you'll see a pushable door beyond a bridge. Open it. Follow the path until you reach a fork. Take the left route first as there is a Nidhog location at the dead end. Go back to well once you've grabbed the other goodies here

You have to do this in single player with a new character, go through campaign from start to end, pick up the World Tree well after Ice Forest and you will get the achievement at the last well on Helheim.

This achievement will glitch if you replay a level or co-op before collecting all wells.

So I just want to confirm that if you missed all the wells on your first playthrough, then you may still be able to pop this achievement.

Unlocked for me despite mixing it all up with co op and single player and also a game breaking glitch on level 4 which made it so i can´t beat the game in single player. Door won´t unlock near the end. (Not the door were you have to destroy all the generators). Able to continue playing online solo!

If anyone is still wondering if this achievement is do-able in co-op.
Well I'm here to tell you it is NOT obtainable in co-op.

The reasons why are, if you were to do half one day and half the next day they would all be wiped. As-well as one of the world tree well, is not available.

I tried to get all 17 in a co-op game in one go, then switch it to my own single player campaign and get the one that isn't obtainable in co-op, but the wells dont transfer campaign to campaign.

So best bet is to do it all in single players.
GOOD LUCK!

1. Create a new character and pull up the well location guide. Follow above guides and complete the story. DO NOT go to the Aesir at any time during the campaign or replay a past level. Make sure to enter the main well in the Aesir HUB at the Grand Tree.

2. After finding and activating all of the wells look at your stat screen which is accessible from hitting start. The # of wells activated should be 18.

3. If you still don't have the achievement (As i didn't) continue the game and defeat Hel. Once she is dead fight your way back the way you came and when you come to her throne room an escort ship will pick you up and take you to Tyr's workshop at the Aesir. You are told to go to the feasting hall Don't do this. Instead go back to the Grand Tree and enter the main well again.

4. Achievement should unlock here with a total of 19 wells activated.

- Please note that if at any point you miss a well you cannot go back via mission select and get it, it will void the achievement.

- This achievement cannot be unlocked in co-op play, only single player.
