You can simply buy color runes from the shop until it unlocks.

Do the colour modules actually count as runes or do they have to be runes themselves?

Yes they count but it has been awhile and for some reason I want to say that they patched this and that you need to clear your cache and disconnect from live to get it to work. Or this could be for a different achievement.

I just unlocked it with a color rune, so yes, they still count.

Confirmed, just unlocked it by purchasing color runes and then salvaging. Rinse, repeat, bloop.

Nevermind! It just popped as soon as I posted that. The color runes do indeed work post-patch.

I can confirm this is still working as of 25/10/2011 as I popped the cheevo the other night. This is without clearing the cache and connected to Xbox live.

This still works as of 7/28/14. Played online and didn't have to clear the cache.

Runes are the symbols you collect that you are able to either insert into level 1 charms (to complete them) or into your weapons' armors to increase your stats.

NOTE: If you buy the ruins that change color of your weapon/armor they DO count towards this achievement.

You can just buy the same ruin over and over till you have filled up your inventory, salvage them all and then repeat until the achievement unlocks.

(FYI-I used the Too Human 360 achievement guide Credit for this solution goes to Hayden)

(before you give me a "thumbs down" on this or any other solution. Tell what I can do to fix it)

Buy color runes from either the weapon or armor store in Aesir. I can confirm that buying color runes works as I just got this achievement doing it. I have all updates installed and everything, no need to do anything special, just devote some time to buying, salvaging, and repeating (many many times depending on how many runes you previously have gotten)

Hey guys I can confirm as of the 30/12/12 this achievement can still be obtained online without deleting your cache or playing offline, all you have to do is go into your weapon, armour/rune store and just keep buying paint runes and just salvaging then when you hit 60 and then just repeat the process until the achievement pops

I hope this helps and you don't get bored keep buying and selling those runes smile

Buying runes still works on 31/12/19. I was online, with all the patches installed.
