The dark alchemist is at the bottom of the broken mines. After solving a simple puzzle, you'll fight his first stage. The Alchemist is a well rounded boss in his first stage, with no big weaknesses or strengths. This makes him vulnerable to any tactics that work well in the game overall.
His second stage is stronger, he can summon imps, and fire will sprout out of the ground. In this stage, he's a little weak to melee attacks, but has a good way of pushing you back.
