In the stats section of your character - right at the top - there is your damage prevention for electricity, fire and poison. Equip one item that makes one of those numbers go from 0 to 1337+ and it will pop.

I'm not sure why the achievement is worded this way. Perhaps it was changed in an update. At any rate, all you need to do is get your TOTAL defense stat for all pieces of equipment over the 1,337 mark and the achievement will unlock.

Pretty random, but all you need to do is find and equip an item that has 113 defense. Not sure why they call it 1337, since the 7 part of the defense stat isn't needed for this achievement. I got this about a third of the way through Act 3.

My friend and I got this last night and I think the wording in the achievement is a little wonky... I believe all you have to do is get your TOTAL defense over 1337. My total defense was around 1200 and I equipped a random piece of armor that bought my total defense to over 1400 and the achievement popped for me.

Very interesting. I'll take a look into that. I'm 99% positive my total defense didn't go above 1337. Thanks for the heads up.
