How to unlock the Hothead achievement in Tour de France 2016 - Definitive Guide
I've made a clip of my run at the Marsolino gold medal:
As you can see my run was far from perfect, so there's definitely some room for error.
Remember to use the "downhill position" (activated with ) when the descent is steep (above 5% i'd say) , otherwise always pedal at full speed (hold + mash ) , there are no energy management issues here.
As shown in the video, I used pedals to gain speed at the beginning, then a central part in "downhill position", then again pedals at max until the end.
Once you get how to get past the two difficult bends in the middle section without loosing much speed, you're golden.
Unlocking this, you'll also get:

The Dare-devil achievement in Tour de France 2016 worth 20 pointsBeat a silver time in Challenge mode
The best challenge to go for a Gold medal on, is Marsolino as you only need to beat 34 seconds. So it's a short track should you need to make several attempts.
The achievement may not unlock immediately, so don't fret. As mentioned in my other guide, you have a ghost replay, so aim to keep beating that and avoid contact with the outside of the track as this will slow you down.
