This is as of 6/5/22.

The split screen has been fixed and can be obtained with a 2nd controller and another profile. I assigned the losing player/2nd controller before I launched the game. Reduce the tickets to win to 10, launch the fastest unit on the map, place some anti infantry units near the entrance to your toy box (just in case), hop in some fast player-controlled vehicles and fly/drive into the opponent's toy box to take off 30% of their health. If there are more you can use, the better. if not, just let the AI units take over the toy box. I do not know if this works if the 2nd controller is a guest account.

Okay, so the achievement is “wonky” but I don’t think it’s glitched, per se. I mean Xbox achievement progress showed 0.03% at the time of me getting it. I’m going to explain what I did, hopefully it helps someone, pay attention to when I use “primary” vs “secondary”; pay attention to when I say “switch” vs “sign out”

1) Start a split screen game with the primary controller
2) Turn on secondary controller, sign in a secondary profile on the secondary controller.
3) Switch the profile on your primary controller to the secondary profile, back on the game screen press “A” and you should see that Player 2 is now your secondary profile.
4) Switch your primary controller back to your primary account; your secondary controller should still be associated with your secondary account now
5) Use the secondary controller to select the map (I recommend reducing base health to 10% and money to $6000 to speed things up)
6) Use the secondary controller to start the game
7) Use the primary controller, which should be tied to your primary account to build units, and defend your base (not that hard, you can check which controller is tied to which account by using the controller home button to check)
Note: I noticed that both bases have the name of the primary account over them.
8) When the game is done, sign out the secondary profile, and turn off the secondary controller.
9) Repeat Steps 1-8 on a new map

That’s how I did it. I don’t know why the game did what it did, or why both bases had the primary account name. You may find a better, faster way, or explain what happened and that’s great, make sure to add a guide or make comments so others can get the achievement. The game may get patched, and this guide becomes obsolete, until then, hope this helps someone, good luck!
