How to unlock the Brass Hat achievement in Toy Soldiers - Definitive Guide
To unlock campaign+ you need to beat the allied campaign first. Then beat campaign+as stated above and gather up those pesky ration tickets. Criteria for the ration tickets can be seen at the level select menu.
Here is a link about how to earn the ration tickets for each level: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?p=28...

FYI: Five platinum boxes on Level 12+ -- hope this helps!
1. Under Sniper Tower; just shoot with either plane when you take off
2. Top of light fixture in back left of starting area with plane. I suggest using the Fokker.
3. Back left from start point, in a cave/alcove. Use the A7 tank and turn 180 degrees, go around the lower area through the trees (stay to the right) and it's on your left under a cliff face. This is around the bottom of the light fixture from #2.
4. In a church, which is 90 degrees right from the starting point of the planes. It is easiest to bomb the building to destroy it and then come back around again to get the exposed box. The church is slightly up the hill from where the enemy planes spawn next to the factory.
5. Slightly to the left of the factory mentioned in #4, there is a small house with a flag on it. On the right side of that house is an awning-type hanging. The box is under that and can be bombed, gunned, or shot by a tank.
NOTE: There are no boxes next to the Archie (Which shoots at your planes) or the factory up on the hill. Start the level with the first tank and clear out the mortar emplacements. You can shoot one from the start, then roll up the hill to the right and take out the other. Set up gas or level 2 flamers next to your toy box and a level 3 mortar by the railroad. These should allow you enough time to get all the boxes and then sell them and lose.

I would like to add that you have to beat at least one level on elite in both campaign AND campaign + for the achievement to unlock.

I thought I would throw in some clarification for some of ration tickets. I found 3 of the campaign+ levels (4, 7, and 8) a little tricky (but surprisingly easy) and had repeat a couple times to get them. For the most part, follow FearlessDonut’s link for the ration tickets.
Level 4, complete the level using only your biplane. You can use either plane. The triplane (the small one) is better because it’s more maneuverable. You’ll want to shoot the foot soldiers and not bomb them; save the bombs to help deal with tanks. Slow down by pushing down (not in) on the right thumb stick and to help line up the shots. Also give yourself plenty of distance. Believe it or not, getting this ration ticket is really easy to do, but this level is considered the most challenging. I was too focused on bombing them with the bomber plane when I first attempted this.
Level 7, Snipe five enemy captains. The link shows what they look like. The problem is finding them among all the other ants. They all look the same. The best advice I can give is set up your defense, so you don’t lose too fast, and switch to overhead view (push in on left stick), and scan the area to the left of the first large placement box. If you do put a howitzer in that box, have it point to the left or bottom left (towards your toy box), and don’t place units on the two circle placement areas to the left of the large placement box--That way the units don’t accidentally kill the captain. After some time you should notice a lone soldier running around. That is the captain, make a mental note of path he runs through, then switch to the sniper tower and keep an eye on that area. You may have to repeat the level once you know where to look. Just make sure you don’t place units that could kill the captain. Try to snipe him ASAP after setting up your defenses. It seems like they come out at random times and a big gap of time between the 2nd, 3rd and 4th captain.
Level 8, Destroy 100 enemy soldiers using your A7V's gas. This one is straight forward in the guide, but you’ll have to find that optimal position. The solders would run in to my tank and I would loose kills towards the ration ticket count. I placed two howitzers and faced them (towards the toy box) so they would not hit the solders too much. The howitzers are to help deal with tanks that get too close to you. I tried to kill enemy tanks far away before they got too close. Keep an eye out for 2 tanks (one on the right and one on the left) that seem to sneak up on you. The howitzers should have brought their health down enough so you wont lose your tank. Losing the tank cost me many kills too.
I hope this helps.

These are generally very useful and great points, though I should note that what worked for me on Level 8 was a bit different from what I'm usually seeing posted by folks.
Instead of building any tower defences, I took the A7V and set it up immediately in front of the toy box, facing directly forward. I then placed a bunch of barbed wire to the left and right of the A7V connecting the empty tower slot and the toy box, and when the enemy infantry ran, they would get caught in the barbed wire and it would give me time to use (and reload) the gas. You can use the main cannon to take out any tank enemies until you hit the 100 mark on the later infantry waves. After that, I got out of the tank and let myself get overrun (since you keep your ration tickets even if you lose, so long as you don't quit out from the pause menu).
I also ran it on Elite since it means that you can take 40 entries into your toy box instead of 30 in case you lose control of the situation for any reason.

For this achievement you do NOT need to get General ranks, but you will need to get the ration tickets for both campaign and campaign+.
I'll be giving advice on what I consider the hardest ration ticket.
Fort Vaux+ - complete the level using only the triplane.
- First off set the difficulty to Elite. Since you can only control one thing. Also, the amount of enemies allowed to enter the toy box before you fail increases by 10.
- Do not build ANYTHING. As this will void this ration.
- Memorise the spawn points for each wave, especially the infantry. The initial waves are the hardest to deal with, it does get easier towards the end.
- Make sure that you shoot down the planes BEFORE they get in the air, or you'll waste precious time chasing them down. What this means is that you'll want to line your plane up with the enemy plane hanger just as they are about to launch and fire away.
- 2 very important concepts when flying the plane. High angle of attack, and speed (Right stick forward to accelerate, pull back to slow down)
Surviving the first waves:
Wave 1) Fly fast, high up and towards the right and then spin around so you can fire into the left trench. Slow down so you can control the bullet spread. I usually crash the plane into the trench when I've killed most of the first wave.
Wave 2) (From Takeoff) Fly fast high up and towards the right and then spin around to face the back trench. Slow down to control the bullet spread but when you pass over the trench fly fast towards the left edge. You'll be turned around automatically.
Wave 3) Since you're already lined up, fly high and pour fire into the far right trench. Make sure you've slowed down to control the bullet spread. Once you've passed over these trenches, circle back towards your toy box to mop up stragglers on the bridges or those that are making a dash towards your toy box. When you pass over your toy box, speed towards the back. You'll be turned around automatically.
Wave 4) At this time (If memory serves right) Enemy Sopwith's are about to launch, so fly slowly towards the hanger, while taking out stragglers, and then aim your fire at the hanger. If they haven't launched yet, force it. Make sure to get them before they take off. Don't worry too much about chasing down those that get away. The infantry will be your primary concern.
If you can deal with these waves, the rest shouldn't be too hard.
The rolling cannons are easy enough. They're slow, but can absorb alot of bullets.
I'll add advice for the next couple waves later....

I didn't see this mentioned in any of the guides so I'm going to add it. If you have beaten the level and just need the ration ticket, there's an easy way to get it. You cannot quit out of the level once you meet the requirements for the ration ticket and keep it. However, if you meet the requirements and then lose the level, you will keep the ration ticket.
In addition to all these great guides, I just want to add a video that helped me a lot to complete the Fort Vaux+ level with the Biplane and get the ration ticket.
