How to unlock the That's Dedication! achievement in Toybox Turbos - Definitive Guide
Cup 1:
No real difficulty here. The cab will get you through most of it.
Cup 2:
Volcano was probably the hardest event in the game for me. The trick is there is a shortcut before the end of the lap to right after the volcano jump. It can be done normally but this makes it much easier. Also every escape event has the water catch up to you up at set points. Meaning the base speed of the vehicle isn't actually that important. if you can get the shortcut down it makes it easier.
Cup 3:
This is where the bosses start getting cheap. The main difficulty for this one comes from helicopters which blow you off the track. Try keeping to the left as you go though the pass, as it will blow you onto the track. this may take a few tries
Cup 4:
Pot luck can be difficult the key is to slow down a little just before you reach the card ramp. Next is a countdown Event, this applies for all the countdown events, take it slow and steady, if you go at a comfortable pace they become easy. The overtake has a set pattern. there are 2 shortcuts, the first is some pretzels on the left after the start of the lap the second is a card ramp on the right edge just past it. take the card ramp 3 times and on the last lap use the pretzel shortcut. also you have to drive through a pool table pocket. it can be awkward the fist few times. use the tow truck, the other vehicles suck. This boss is the easiest as he will keep driving into pool balls.
Cup 5:
This is where the main races start get cheap and the game cheats you. they might require a few play throughs. Party only has one slight shortcut. on the first turn the will be some sweets you can drive through before going over the ramp. I used the getaway car for these events and i found it the easiest to keep up with the boss. use weapons when you can. only use mines if he is right behind you, they usually become a hindrance later otherwise.
Cup 6:
These races are probably the worst. use the police car for the first race, the others are too slow. For overtake use the ambulance and get the shortcuts right, keep to the left to start as to easily pass the first 3. for the trains you can dodge down the side of the ramp to help avoid collisions. The next race is the hardest in the game. i can only do it with the fire engine, all the other cars get bullied and destroyed. taking the first turn of the lap slower and going over the cake wedge works out best for me. The boss isnt as bad as the others. Best way to consistently kill him is to block him off at the shortcuts as he usually tries to take the inside lanes.
Cup 7:
The first race isnt as bad as the last cup so it shouldn't be too hard.
Burn Baby burn was the second hardest for me but most people consider it the hardest. Pick the race car. go left of the mine, jump the ramp and slow down on the blue and green books, you can now turn straight onto the next ramp, if you hit the pencil you took the turn too fast. any slower than 7 seconds and you should start again. keep right to avoid the fireballs, go full speed over the mine and around the corner, now this is the hardest part to get right. full speed over the ramp aiming to the right, slow down as soon as you land and quickly angle over the ruler, Go left a little to avoid the books on the right. That is one lap if you are over 21 seconds then you are too slow, you can shave off some time if you do the rest right but its hard. Slow down a little for the first mine as it can be difficult to avoid after exiting the shortcut. the fireball pattern changes on the second lap so keep to the right of you can. Good Luck. Thenext events are quite easy afterwards, chose the race and use shortcuts. the final countdown will require some memorization of the lines to take. i go right at the start to betterline up the third clock by going over the gap. the queen is easy if you can hold out until the mines spawn, use mines if you can as she is very week against them.

There are 7 cups in Toybox Turbos, which have 15 stars each, making a grand total of 105 stars to unlock. Each event within these cups offers up a maximum of 3 stars, depending on how well you perform. At the start of an event you will be given 3 targets to beat with the hardest worth 3 stars, for instance: In a classic race it is 1 star for finishing third, 2 stars for finishing second and 3 stars for finishing first. Your progress is then tracked in-event at the top left hand corner of the screen. Once you have all 105 stars, this trophy is yours to keep!
As you progress through cups the difficulty of the events gradually increases but never to the point where it feels too much. The short nature of the tracks means you can learn the best route needed with only a few attempts. Classic races are the easiest of events to beat because the A.I aren't very clever in the use of weapons. Time trials are generally easy enough to beat but 'Burn, Baby, Burn!' is particularly frustrating as the volcano will fire out lava hazards which differ from lap to lap. Both overtake and countdown events will give you some a decent margin for error in earlier cups, but the tougher ones still have a small margin you can work with. Escape events are not much trouble though. One mistake will lead to failure but as long as you don't make that mistake, then you should pass a 3 star target before the water passes you.
You need to get 3 stars from each of the 5 events in all of the 6 Cups in the game. That's a total of 35 events and 105 stars. If you're struggling with an event check some of the tips from the roadmap.
