How to unlock the Legendary Leaper achievement in Track Field - Definitive Guide
Build up your speed and hold the jump button just before you cross the line (otherwise you'll foul). The longer you hold the throw button the higher the angle will climb. You want to try and get an angle of around 45 degrees. If you've got enough speed then you should get over 9.00m. (the yellow bar will need to be in to the last 2 blue blocks of the speed indicator ideally)

Was the person who made this video using a normal pad? The speed bar seems to increase insanely fast! Or am i just that rubbish at track and field? :P

I've got to say, it looks pretty normal to me Skins, sorry. I use the joystick to wiggle left and right rather than the buttons to run, you might want to try that if you're not already.
