How to unlock the TSW2: Gold Panning achievement in Train Sim World 2 - Definitive Guide

The achievement requirements are pretty simple (get 50 gold medals). But here are some tips:
  • Medals earned on training scenario's are not counted. I was on 60 gold medals when this achievement unlocked
  • The trick that works for the 'complete x activities' achievements (save the game a moment before the activity ends, end activity, load save, rinse & repeat) does not work for gold medals, the progress only increases the first time you get a gold medal on an activity
  • Most progress will come as you naturally go through the game. But there are some short activities you can choose from the timetable. However, on Sand Patch, some of these activities will notget you a gold medal even if you do everything perfect. Make note of the AP needed before starting the activity, and just drive back and forth a bit so that you get some extra 30 AP a couple of times
