Extremely buggy. 100mi is about 160km, and I have walked way more than that.
Ended up just rubber banding my controller in the dull hours because I had no 'walking related' activities to do. So running around in circles works too. Make sure to use RT to walk faster.

Would also add that if you have a keyboard attached (wirelessly or otherwise) you can stick down the shift and arrow up keys to achieve the same.

Just got it using the rubber band trick. Does take a while tho... Took me nearly 9 hours in one sitting so if you really wanna go for this achievement, rubber band the sticks together so you're running in circles then go do other things outside gaming... or leave it to run in circles while you sleep
