go into great western express, the service menu and select class 43 gwg
+ weather whatever you like + 1C01 (05:20am)

the track will quickly go up to 200 so hammer her down

don´t go over the speed limit (200kmh/124mph) - the distance (in) you are over, will not count

Been using this method. Also just an additional offering I'm using.
Get the train up to speed. (125mph) then press start and save. I was roughly 30 miles from target station.

This save can then be accessed from the main menu by selecting 'last played' option.

Soon as it loads up, you are top speed without messing about with accelerating etc.
AFK.... repeat. :D

Does failing a timetable route still count the distance? For example, passing red at danger failing the route.

Does doing the 5 missions count towards this distance travelled, for any of the trains used in those missions anyway.

As if so it’s pay for me to complete all them first, to prevent a bit of repetitive driving

I will enjoy thr home office and leave the train running, in 5 days I believe I finish all the basic achievements

Is there a cruise control system? I don't see any... I can't go afk without my speed going over 125mph.
