The spawning and walking is the trick to do this quickly, but the real deal is that guide! Wow, thanks to whoever created it.
By the way, I ended up with 103/100 collectables for this DLC thanks to the 2 cones and 1 extra map. It still unlocked when I hit 100, so you don't really need to get all of them out there, just the 100.

I'd like to add that it is very simple to simply spawn at a random station on foot. When going to the timetable, don't click the rectangular image of the train but instead click the rectangular image of your character. This allows you to spawn at any station at any given time!

Also, a small piece of advice as most collecting will be done on foot. Running can be done by using to make things happen faster :)
