How to unlock the CJP: Passing Grade achievement in Train Sim World 3 - Definitive Guide
Note: This requires the Cajon Pass DLC installed, which is included with Game Pass at the moment.
From the Home Menu Select:
To The Trains -> Choose a Route -> Cajon Pass -> Training Modules
From here you'll have two tutorials to complete, they are:
-Route Intro - Simple history on Cajon Pass, dont even drive a loco.
-Hill Start and Dynamic Brake Introduction- About 15 mins run time, learn how to use dynamic brake (basically a generator applying reverse to the wheels while going downhill). As long as you keep the loco under the speed limit mostly and avoid derailing, there arent many "Failure points" This is pretty on the rails (no pun intended)
NOT REQUIRED FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT, but a good idea to complete are
To The Trains -> Train Depot -> Training Modules
From here, selecting the BNSF ES44C4 (4 modules) & BNSF SD40-2 (1 module) will give you a great experience on how to start up and operate the locos for this dlc.
LASTLY: If you need more help on using the locos, the following PDF is a great companion piece from DTG which covers all locos in TSW3.

Kinda new to this game, but still. Went mostly to 90% of the speed limit or so and the 2nd intro mission is taking me at least 35-40 minutes already and I’m not done yet. 4 miles from the summit. Still, thanks for putting this guide up
