Is the boss of chapter 6

Try to stick to him and do the Up-X-X-Y combo over and over until he dies.

Easy defeated without getting hit.

I thought I had missed this as I didn't realise he was the boss. After I beat him and got hit, I closed the game down through the window bar and it put me back at the boss fight when reloaded.

I beat him by holding forward and spamming x + y. He was dead in less than 5 seconds

TIP if you are getting hit by him before you can pull out your sword like I was as soon as you enter the room throw a Bo-Shuriken (right on the D-Pad) at him.

As an add on to xG0DzXAssAss1nx's tip. Throwing the Bo-Shuriken at him as soon as you enter will occasionally cause him to glitch out and be frozen facing the screen allowing you to just mash Y without any worries. However it can also push him away from the screen, in to the background, and you won't be able to hit him and will have to load.

Spamming Y was perfect for me, making sure to roll as well to dodge his hits when he turns around. I did like on the Kensei difficulty.

As soon as you enter the room hit LB to draw your sword and then immediately Y. That will stop him in his tracks. Then Up+YY. Every time he charges hit Up+YY. Do it 3 times and he's dead for good

I did this on Ronin, which is harder for sure, but still easily doable.
The YY move is great here and takes a bit of timing, because he will often roll back if you strike too early. I always followed the move up by a roll back, wait for him to make the next move and hit him with YY again. Roll through him to the other side and repeat.
Stamina will come in to play, but the boos will also just stop during the fight, so just wait for him to make the move.
