How to unlock the Full Throttle III achievement in Trials Fusion - Definitive Guide

For this achievement, you will need to complete the "Full Throttle" track challenges on the following tracks:
1. Waterworks
2. Skyscraper Showdown
3. Tropic Storm

This challenge requires you to keep the throttle on max and NOT use your brake while completing a zero fault run of the track. You are allowed to lean, but must maintain "full throttle" from start to finish.

Tips:
- Land on your back wheel to maintain speed
- Land on your front wheel to bounce your bike and reduce speed
- A well timed front flip can add a good amount of distance to your jump

I completed these 3 track challenges and the achievement did not pop. Redid the first 2 and nothing. Tried completing other track challenges on the same map to get the game to register that I had completed the full throttle challenges and still nothing. not sure what else to try. Thanks for the flip tip at the end of Tropic Storm, I was finally able to complete it using flips. I had to do a backflip comming off the ramp at the 3:06 mark though because otherwise I would overshoot everytime.

I actually found it a thousand times easier using the Baggie. It's slower, really stable and you don't have to worry about doing flips during your run. I got it on my 5th try after switching bikes.

Worth a look if you're struggling like I was.

@ATCS - the Baggie for Tropic Storm? It seemed too slow to make the long jump off the fallen tree before the floating boxes section.

I uploaded it so you can see. I just found it a bunch easier.

I've been trying to do this for days on Tropic Storm. No matter what bike I use, Pit Viper or Baggie, I ALWAYS overshoot the ramp to get on the mountainside to finish the course. I have tried to do backflips to reduce distance, but I STILL overshoot it. I'm losing hope for this one. I've tried probably 200-300 times to do this.

I used the Roach on Tropic Storm. For the last section control your speed as much as possible and start doing back flips off the two jumps right before the hard jump described in the video and you should land at the bottom of the ramp and have enough traction to get through it. I've repeated this three times in a row now, so it does work.

As for the guide video, it's good and it probably works, but I found your Tropic Storm strategy to be really, really complicated for no reason. For instance, at the start you can hold forward off every jump and not have to worry about doing tricky backflips on any of them. Not only is this faster, it doesn't require all the pieces to fall in order perfectly.

Still +'d though.

The glitch I experienced ended up fixing itself with no action on my part. I was about to delete my game save and redo everything, while I was finishing up level 50 to buy a complete outfit the achievement popped on it's own. It was about 3 days later and the achievement's time stamp was predated to when it would have originally unlocked

I attempted this 200+ times, couldn't do it. Attempted the double backflip, LITERALLY got it first try. If you commit to it and hold the stick back at that pain-in-the-ass jump, you get it perfectly. I used the Roach too.

It comes down to luck at that last point , took me hours to do it. Keep at it and it should pop. In the end I never did a flip, just luck I had enough speed for the jump.
Great guide though

For the last part on Tropic Storm, tylahjames double back-flip method in the comments above worked better for me. However, I did end up completing it using the same method in Maka's video (albeit accidentally) due to the achievement not popping me for the first two times I used the double back-flip method. I would attribute that to the game, not the method.

Just a heads up this achievement is buggy..
I've completed all three challenges on my secondary account as i wanted to replay the game again and although they show as completed the progress bar is stuck at 66%.
In case anyone else is experiencing this. When i completed on my main account years ago it unlocked fine.

FINALLY got it when I realized two things, thanks for the video! I finally noticed that... First, as you're coming off the jump at 3:06 - 3:08 intentionally land on the front wheel so that you lose some momentum, then IMMEDIATELY pull back to start the backflip as you're continuing on. I kept making the mistake of waiting until I was heading up the ramp to try the backflip rather than starting it as I went up the ramp. So glad that's over!

So MAKA91's guide is pretty much perfect, it helped me get through 98% of the track. However, that last bit on Rain Forest Rumble - Tropic Storm, was still giving me grief. While using the "Roach" bike, I still could not seem to pass it. However, I found that during that last bit, (See MAKA's video, starting around the 3:05 mark) that if you try to do a double back flip, it seemed to help me even more.

Basically I tried 200+ times & after I figured this out, I got it on my 3rd try when I got to that section. What I did, is at the ramp around the 3:08 mark is his video, when you are almost about to drive off of that ramp, push the stick left & hold. If you time it right, when you hit the ramp, your front tire will catch first slowing you down just enough to bounce you enough to do another back flip. As soon as you land that second back flip, push the stick right so that you are leaning forward on the bike & that's pretty much what you are going to do for the last few seconds of the map while going up hill.

I attached a video to hopefully help explain the method I did to achieve this.

Good Luck!

The following may help those stuck on the final track -Tropic Storm - no flips needed.

As mentioned above the final part of the track is tough however with the Rabbit I found it a whole lot easier as it appears to have better traction and manoeuvrability.

Good luck !!

Spent about 4 hours straight trying this with the roach. Will try this, it definitely looks easier with the Rabbit.

On the 360 I used the Roach, but after reading up here thought I'd try this. Bloody brilliant! Definitely the way to go. Took me a couple of attempts to get used to jump distances etc. on the bicycle for this track, then BAM! Straight in :)

For this Achievement, you will need to complete the "Full Throttle" Challenges on following Tracks:

Full Throttle 1 - Greenhorns Grove - Waterworks
Full Throttle 2 - Urban Sprawl - Skyscraper Showdown
Full Throttle 3 - Rainforest Rumble - Tropic Storm

For beating the Challenges, you must drive and complete the whole Track without using the Brakes
and the whole Time hold RT down for full Throttle.
Full Throttle 1 & 2 are easy. The hardest Challenge is Full Throttle 3. I use the Baggie Bike here, because for me it so much easier with this Bike as with the Roach or Pit Viper. If you use the Baggie, you will earn the Baggie-Wash Challenge too.

In the last Part of the Track, you "need"flipping, i tried so many times other Techniques and tactics
but the only one he works is flipping (for me)

The Flipping is really frustrating because in 95% all attempts it fails. So try your luck and do not give up.
It works and it's only a matter of time.
regards

I tried the Baggie as you suggested after failing so many times with the other bikes - nailed it first time! Nice one

Thanks for the baggie tip. I didn't need to do a flip but you do need to land pretty perfect on your front wheel to bounce you backwards.
Got it in less than 10 tries in the Baggie and I'm fairly certain I'd tried it numerous times with the other bikes before giving up.

Tried for hours with the Rabbit.

After a half hour with the baggie (getting to the last jump five times) I nailed it.

+1 from me.

Great guide. Thanks. One note: I found on that last spin that I could make two spins, one pretty fast, one right after that with about no momentum. If I pressed forward (instead of back for the backspin) about halfway through the second spin, the bike landed nicely, with about the right momentum to carry through the level.

In other words, two jump spins brought my hit percentage way above the 5% you mention (and way above the maybe 2% I was experiencing).

You need to complete the tracks with no faults and without letting go of the Right Trigger. You also CANNOT use the LT to brake.

There are 3 tracks with Full Throttle Challenges, they are:

- Waterworks
- Skyscraper Showdown
- Tropic Storm

The hardest part to do is right near the end of Tropic Storm you will need to slow down by either landing on your front tyre or doing a backflip so you can accelerate all the way up the ramp.

To pass the test you need to drive the entire route without letting off the gas.
