How to unlock the Leaving a Fine Lookin' Fossil achievement in Trials Fusion - Definitive Guide

After the FMX training program in career mode you will unlock some FMX tracks.

Go to the garage and customize your rider by buying the Excavator helmet, top and bottoms. You can buy the cheapest three to save money.

Start the Daredevil showdown track under the Urban Sprawl event.

Off the first jump go quite slow and keep your bike level and push the cn_RS down to perform a 'Proud Hero' pose until you crash at the bottom.

Just unlocked for me using the second tier set. The reason I think it didn't unlock at first is that I was going too fast and crashing on the ramp not hitting the building or hole prior to the landing ramp.

I was trying this on a different track and couldn't get it crashing into the ground at all. I think you have to get the red "CRASH" to come up like it does on FMX levels. Good solution. Worked first time.

Might want to add that you CANNOT but outfit unless your level 14 or above

As per that Beastie a couple of posts above me, pretty much crawl to the edge of the first jump and hold the trick until you fall into infinity. Got it with upgraded Excavator gear.

This is one of the funnier achievements to get, watching your rider just fall down in such a heroic pose.

Might want to note that you must use the basic excavator set. If you use an upgraded excavator set then the achievement will not unlock.

Tried this first time for TargeTs April 2024. Got it first time, without really trying. Always struggled with FMX poses.
It should also be pointed out that Excavator "pack" only seems to be available for male riders and not female. (Apologies if this mentioned/shown somewhere else e.g. video)

Now, go to the garage and make sure to equip your rider in a "Excavator" Outift which requires a helmet, a top and a bottom piece. Any combination of items under this category of clothing will work for this achievement, you are free to purchase the cheapest 3 items to save money.

Now that your rider is equipped, go to the "Daredevil Showdown" event. Proceed slowly off the first ramp, and hold the "Proud Hero" pose until your rider crashes into the side of the building or ground floor. To hold a Proud Hero, make sure your bike and rider and balanced while in mid-air, and then hold down on the right stick. Give your rider a second to step up on the bike, and the trick is started.

Thank you for noting that you must crash into the building. I tried it using the first guide and crashed on the ramp and it didn't count. It has to be a surface that is out of bounds to count.

This video explains an easy way to get this achievement. You must be wearing the outfit, be falling to your death, and be fully into the proud hero pose (down on RS) to get this achievement. It also shows the achievement guide for A Wolf in Wolf's Clothing.

NOTE: You must have the FMX license to get this

You are going to have to have at least $6000. Also, have the required level unlocked. Essentially, have the ability to do tricks. Simply hold down on the right analog stick. This will put you in the pose. On the first jump, go slow, do the pose, and get the achievement!

So you want to have 6000 dollars in order to buy at least the first tier of The Excavator outfit. Then go to a FMX map with a drop and simply hold down on the right thumb stick to do the 'Proud Hero' pose, hold this until you wipe out and thats the achievement.

During career mode you will have to do the FMX training program. After completing this go to the garage and customize your rider by buying all 3 Excavator items ( you can buy the cheapest set if you want to save money )

Go to the Urban sprawl event and pick the track Daredevil Showdown, right at the start there`s a small jump with a ring of fire around it, go slowly off the edge and fall in between the buildings and while keeping your bike level/straight hold DOWN on the right analogue stick to perform the proud hero pose and as soon as you crash the trophy will pop...

On the FMX track, press down with the right stick to make a Proud Hero pose and hold it until it falls down.
