How to unlock the Demon on Wheels achievement in Trials HD - Definitive Guide

No easy way for this achievement. You have to actually know how to play the game. Hear are some links to the four extreme levels. I used them when I got stuck.

-Brown Boxes
-Going Up
-Ground Hogs for Ever
-Inferno II (HARDEST)

This was one of the hardest (and/or frustrating) achievements ever, videos were very helpful when I got stuck.

This is definitely one of those achievements that I got so close to getting but hit a part where I thought I might never get it. Inferno II took just about 3 half hour/500 fault tries... I ended up finishing with about 450 faults and a time of 28:40- talk about cutting it close. The videos definitely help to show how the courses can be completed.

used the videos above and took me about 3 1/2 hours with so many mistakes but after practicing managed to get it in less then 200 faults and under 15 minutes :)

You should put the videos in the proper section at the bottom so that it inlines them in the page.

I downloaded the Big Pack before finishing Inferno. Does anyone know if by downloading the Big Pack you still get this after finishing Inferno or if you need to finish Diabolical. This game stresses me out!

@ Bancock Cowboy: the 2 new courses are *substantially* easier than Inferno 2 - if you complete that you will not have any problem with Diobolical.

Also it is important to say that it *does* easier - I thought Inferno was impossible but my record now is 48 faults and 6 minutes and I have silver on all 4 extreme courses.
The most important manover to remember IMHO is that it is frequently neccessary to do a bunny hop but then to slam the back wheel down after the hop by moving the stick to the left.

Thanks Broton. I was able to complete Inferno II today. To answer my own question, even if you have downloaded Big Pack before you go for this achievement, you get the achievement after you finish Inferno II (i.e. you don't have to complete the additional tracks). I found this walkthrough very helpful for the last half of Inferno:

Videos are helpful for when you get stuck, but this just takes a lot of time, practice and patience!

To bad this achievement doesn't have a higher TA ratio. Very hard. I only have inferno 2 left, but can't get past the part right past the tires.....I'm putting it down for a few days and then I'll try again. I find this works to my advantage once I've gotten frustrated with an achievement. Wish me luck.

Just got this on BC. Managed the first track in little over 10 minutes iirc. Wasn't too hard. Dreading Inferno II. Whoever designed the difficult tracks is a sadist. Fun game but frustrating at times.

I've watched quite a few videos for Going Up, but I just can't get over that box near the end, I got there with around 100 faults, used all the get trying get over that damn box.

I'm done with this game, it's just not fun anymore. It's not worth it.

I'm also quitting this achievement because of the box on Going Up.

This game looks so easy when you’re looking at it, then you play it yourself and it all makes sense, it’s a lot harder than it looks.

23,000 got this achievement here and there's a total of a dozen videos on youtube. Sure. Achievement unlockers here are insane. Levels are almost impossible to complete, you litteraly can't do these jumps the bike gets an invisible weight placed on it making it unable to go over even the smallest obstacles.

Ground Hog returns. Has a concrete pipe you have to get on, it's impossible to do unless you get a frame perfect hop onto it. Which requires you to lean froward then back then it the gas, if you hit the frame perfect spot your back wheel will catch, this took me 1912 attempts before it caught and I then finished the level. Otherwise the back wheel of the bike won't catch the pipe now matter what else you do, an invisible force will pull down the back wheel.

Inferno II 2 has four RNG jumps on it which may take hours to get past. It took me 1112 attempts before I got past the third wood pallets, I finished the level with 50 second remaining and four whole attempts left. The odds of landing on the first wood plank is a 1/10. The second a 1/20. Getting enough speed to finsh it requires luck, no skill but luck this whole level along with one of the ones in the DLC are pure cancer and are garbage.

Just so people know, there are limits for every course.

You must complete a course in under 30 minutes and using fewer than 500 faults.

As mentioned, you need to know how to actually play the game, but most of these levels are about throttle control. And practice. Lots of practice.

If you're going for this cheevo, and are anything like me, then you'll likely have rinsed Brown Boxes, Goin Up and Groundhog Forever before you get anywhere near completing Inferno 2 - That's no surprise, as it really is hard!!

The section most get stuck at (I was stuck here for 1000s of faults!!) is the near-vertical pallets after the tire drop. All I can say is take it easy on your rider movements, and try to land on both the pallets without a bounce..ie...land perpendicular to the pallet and shift the riders weight forward as soon as you land, accompanied by a couple of blips of the throttle to steady yourself. When steady on the last pallet, ease the throttle to full whilst leaning forward to avoid flipping, and you will carry enough speed to trigger the next checkpoint.

Obviously that sounds easy, but it takes alot of practice! I found that, at first I couldn't get from one pallet to the next, then I couldn't land right on the last one, then couldn't get the throttle control right to steady myself, then finally couldn't get enough speed up to land on the next section - but I got there with time.

In the end it comes down to control. You certainly can't get away with being ham-fisted for this one, you have to make the right movements at exactly the right time to complete this section.

The rest of the track is, happily, much "easier".

Good luck, and hope this helps in some way!

Did you get this after downloading any DLC? I got the Big Pack when it was on sale, now I realize there are 3+ more extreme tracks...I hope this achievement wasn't looking for a "100%" on the main screen to trigger...

This cheevo unlocks on completion of the four standard extreme tracks - whether or not you have either of the dlc's doesn't matter :)
Tracks needed for this are:
Brown Boxes, Goin Up, Groundhog Forever and Inferno2.

Happy trials-ing!

Already had the achievement but wanted to see what people recommended and the point you mentioned brought back some horrible memories lol! Such a hard point in the level, that and a part where I seem to remember you have to balance on some pegs and rock gently to jump to the next or something like that,

Great guide dude :D

Great game, great guide! Still, I think Goin' Up is harder than Inferno.

There is no easy way of doing this. Its just practice. I find the hardest one inferno 2 (final track). Watch this video if you get realy stuck on this track. It might help you with some things.

This video is not mine.

There are only 4 tracks but they are extremely hard for beginners. These tracks are time consuming but take your time, it doesn't matter if you bail just finish each track.
