How to unlock the Unicycle! achievement in Trials Rising - Definitive Guide

This is a video guide on how to earn the achievement "Unicycle!" in Trials Rising for doing a 100 meter wheelie.

I recommend using the Rhino bike which is unlocked by normal progression through the game. Also, you will need to progress enough to unlock the Medium difficulty level Firebase Faceplant which is in my opinion, the easiest level to do this achievement on.

Let me warn you first that this achievement is not easy for the average Trials player. I've had a lot of experience with wheelie-ing in previous Trials games (as the Loose Screw skill games were always my favorites).

Anyway, load up the level Firebase Faceplant with the Rhino and get to checkpoint 9. If you are having trouble finding it, here is the location of it on the world map once it is unlocked:

https://gyazo.com/893b0904957cba6fbc6611ed8b7bcfa7

It doesn't matter how long it takes or how many faults it takes to get there. The good news is that once you get to checkpoint 9, you can keep trying to attempt this achievement from there without having to go through the whole level each time (as long as you don't go past the finish line). From the checkpoint you want to first jump over the gap and land normally. Now back up as far as you can so you are on the ramp. Start your wheelie from here and you will need to keep it going without your front wheel touching the ground. You will also need to continue your wheelie over the ramp that you jump off AND still need a little more distance so you will have to land in another wheelie, which is probably the trickiest part of this achievement. If you got far enough without your front wheel ever touching anything, the achievement will pop. You can fault after having done it like I did and still pop the achievement! Also, as you can see there is leeway too since I could have made it even further before hitting the finish line. Good luck, it is not easy!

UPDATE: Wanted to add in another strategy that complements my solution nicely thanks to x Mataeus x - He says "Ride to the finish line, don't cross it but right up to it, then reverse backwards. The ramp will have vanished, allowing you a much easier run with loads of space! Downside is if you fault, you have to do it again, getting rid of the ramp."

I was able to get this without backing up onto the ramp at the start of the runway. Was finding it harder and more frustrating than just beginning on the flat ground.

Same technique otherwise.

Easy mode, too true :-) Cheers dude for the credit. I was trying to nudge the ramp backwards by accelerating off it, then took a run and didn't pop it. So I slowly reversed, having spent ages nudging the ramp, and noticed it had gone. So I restarted the checkpoint, and this time just ignored the ramp and rode right up to the finish line then reversed back. Once again, it had gone.

Excellent solution! I personally think its easier on the Mantis bike, but that might be just a preference thing.

I can confirm what Mataeus said. I did it that way and the ramp does disappear.

There hasn't been an update, so I would not think they patched anything

This was MUCH easier with the helium for me, so if anyone feels stuck, try switching bikes and see what works best for you.

The new Turtle bike from the Crash and Sunburn DLC now makes this cake. I didn't want to add my own guide for this, as the general concept remains the same, but with the Turtle bike you can just rest the bike in a wheelie position with its 'cage' running on the ground, and just go full throttle. Takes all the skill out of it, but hey!

would have been nice if you recorded the replay of the run to actually see your stick controls. this is useless

foolproof method (if you own the bike)

also you can just hold it down slightly instead of tapping it like he did. I combined it with going to the exit and backing up so the ramp dissapears to make it super easy

Donkey is even easier (and cheesier). Just do full throttle to flip it, when it's pointing up push forward and you'll be on its fender. then just hold forward and ride full gas on the fender.

Hey,

For this one you gonna need to cover a distance of 100 meters on your backwheel. Distance only grow when you go forward and you can't touch the ground with your front wheel.

This was my last achievement. It was one of the hardest for me who hate wheelie.
You gonna have to go on the Medium track called "Firebase Faceplant", and go on the last CP which is the 9. Jump off the ramp and start to slowly do your wheelie, then pass over the ramp and continue your way till you get near the finish line BUT you need to stop and go backward the more you can, then go forward again until you get the achievement.

EDIT: It seems like the achievement was probably glitched on my side, because some people got it without even have to go backward to get more distance. The following video might be overkill.

I've made a Guide video:

Thanks to Alpha_Texan !

Ok, so I have the most unbelievably cheap way of doing this for those who, like me, just have a lot of trouble keeping the wheelie up.

I did this with the Helium

First, use the trick from x Mataeus x about going to the finish line, then backing all the way up to get rid of the ramp. I started just right about where the people cheering you end.

Then try and do your wheelie.... but keep going back on the bike. Now if your back hits the ground you'll fail and have to restart. This part you'll need to practice but I accomplished it in 3 tries. The trick is to go back to where your back is almost to the ground, but not at the point that it crash's you. As I fell backwards, just before my back touches the ground, I slammed on the gas and my bike and I were going forward even though we flipped like 170 degrees backwards. Just enough for the back wheel to grip the ground. Just don't let off the gas and go through the finish line. Achievement popped for me immediately.

Easiest way to do this is to go up to the finish line of firebase faceplant and reverse all the way back, now the ramp is gone. You already knew that from the other guides, the thing you're gonna do now is with the rhino go full throttle and land on your mudguard and rear wheel, whilst leaning forward, now just go full gas and pass the finish line. After trying for 2 hours the regular way i did it this way on my second try.

for those who have trouble maintaining the weeling, I advise you to use the donkey because you can block it back, so go to the finish line without the past and go back in reverse the ramp will have disappeared so facilitate the unfolding
