How to unlock the Surthrival achievement in Tribes of Midgard - Definitive Guide

Each day is as of this post 20 minutes long in survival needless to say there just isnt enough to do to actually play for the full 100 days in survival unless you take things extremely slow. Im only on day 37 as of writing this and have completed all survival challenges and every other achievement in the game besides this one. This alone will take 33hours and 20 minutes to complete. However this mode is by far the best way to grind season ranks as well as it can take anywhere between 5 minutes and 30 minutes(mainly early on) to get a rank whereas saga mode caps your xp at 50k per run. You can earn all of it here. Prepare to just sit here or rubber band your controller as it will kick you for inactivity in a solo game if there is no inputs for a set time(my guess is 30 minutes)

See i wish i would have made a multiplayer world because i assumed with singleplayer i could just afk it to 100 but then i got booted from single player around day 20 or so after being afk for myabe 30 minutes and didnt want to restart the timer. Im debating puting tape on the x button to auto attack while i sleep to see if that will work

You can rubber band the LT button if you have a shield out, and that works for AFK.

1 game day = 10 minutes of real time.
It will take almost 17 hours to get the trophy.
If you create an open world and take a break from the game, then other online players will continue to play and can do their own thing rather than defending the base. So they ruined the world for me on day 70 while I was sleeping. In the morning the world was already destroyed, but I received 120k experience.
Therefore, to guarantee reaching day 100, I recommend making the world closed and having at least 4 golden horns to make 4 golden weapons against Jotuns of different elements (a sword for lightning and darkness, an ax for cold and a sledgehammer for fire).
In the end, the Jotuns will have under 1M HP, and you will inflict only 100-150 damage from a normal attack on him per hit, so it is better to set the Jotuns difficulty low and the card to be the largest in order to have time to kill him.
In a closed world, friends can join you using a password when you are in the game (you will have to search for the game by the world number by flipping through the pages, the filter for some reason does not work).
If you set low difficulty to the creatures of Hel, then the defense of the 3rd level base will deal with them on normal nights, incl. you will be able to beat up the Jotuns for days on end, and you will only have to defend the base personally during the blood moon.
The most comfortable settings for achieving 100 days and simultaneously farming experience for the season are in the photo below.

As soon as the Jotun appears, find him and hit him, leaving HP for one hit, and let the archers finish him off. So I was lucky, on day 35 my jotun got stuck a few steps from the village and stood there until day 100. All I had to do was defend the village at night. The trophy turned out to be easy, but long and tedious.

The main thing is to keep an eye on the Jotuns. Because they grow almost exponentially. The strength of the blows and the amount of HP increase greatly closer to day 100. If you have a non-warrior build through mana and a raider’s axe, then you need to go damage the jotuns from the very beginning. Because The kill rate varies from class to class. And the runes are not always good. I only found normal runes on days 70+. But even without runes it dealt good damage per second. Plus, the warrior has dodge with invulnerability. Helps you stay close to the boss if you catch the timing.

If someone is too lazy to survive, then write in a personal message. I still keep a server for friends, I can help.

But you still have to farm a million souls. When the 100th day ends, if you sell all the resources, you will have around 200-300k souls. Which will greatly help in achieving the corresponding trophy.

The easiest way is to play through as many runes as possible from the Dragon Child trophy. Having 3 such runes, I gave 2k damage to the Jotuns even on the 100th day, and with the help of the Siguna IV blade I gave -100k per attack.
While you are collecting the above rune, you can take runes for acceleration at night and +15% damage to jotuns.

It's easy to survive solo! Set the settings as presented above by the author and download. You collect runes for increased damage against etuns by 15% (the rune is called Wrath of Labor), runes that strengthen you based on the number of souls (the rune is called Rune Tree), they stack. Already 2 runes increasing damage at the expense of souls will buff you very strongly. To quickly farm souls, you can also knock out a nice rune that is given for killing Fenrir in the saga, called the Rune Tree, it gives you 2 souls for hitting an enemy! In 111 days they gave us so much experience. For the trophy you need 1,100,000 if you level up from 0. 50 levels x22000 = 1,100,000. 100 days of farming in about 17.5 hours. Living solo for more than 111 days is already a problem. Because the etuns have 1.7kk or more and each of their blows is a one-shot!

The soul enhancement rune drops quite often these days, we collect 5 pieces, strengthen the base to the maximum, preferably craft legendary weapons and pile on the Yetuns for a warrior, the blow even in the last days is 3-4k. corresponding weapons that cause increased damage.

We collect a collection of soul potions in case of death, for a quick rise to 10k, for causing maximum damage, an analogue is to quickly sell the collected loot for souls. When everything is collected, bring the Jotuns to a minimum of HP and slow them down so that they walk slower, appear less often and thus have the lowest level, especially convenient for fire and ice, just run up from behind and go back, wait for the blow and so on in a circle.

The fastest way to get the achievement, but the longest search time, is to find a server with the maximum number of days of survival. I was lucky to find a server with 105 days of survival.
If you knock out the trophy yourself, then the tactic of killing Jotuns in 2 stages makes survival very easy. When Jotun appears, we immediately move towards him and take out his HP as much as possible, leaving just a little and fly away to the village. Until Jotun reaches the village (and depending on the size of the selected map, this will take from 2 to 4 game days), we defend the village, strengthen it and extract resources. After Jotun approaches the village, we calmly finish him off. In this way, by the very last days of survival you will have Jotuns with HP not 1.5-2kk, but 250-300k. Which will naturally make it easier to kill them.
Good luck getting it
