How to unlock the Speed. Precision. achievement in Tricky Towers - Definitive Guide

You can do this trophy offline or online. Personally, I did it offline by turning on my second controller and simply letting it sit there as player 2 while I built my tower.

This trophy is a little luck based IMO. You can do good things with whatever bricks you get, but you're really gonna have to get the right combination of bricks and magics to get to the finish line fast enough.

Either way, don't worry about building a wide solid foundation for your tower on this trophy. Make sure you build one that's solid and will stay standing, but if you spend too much time on making the perfect tower, you're going to run out of time. 80 seconds is barely enough to pull this off. If you get a shovel magic, the one that turns one of your blocks into a solid platform, wait to use it for either a long flat block or for when your tower is wobbling and you have no other option.

Sadly, you can't discard any blocks, so you're gonna have to use every single block they throw at you. This means you're gonna have to get crafty with building your tower in half-shifts sometimes. Use vines however you need to in order to keep your tower stable through using half-shift placements.

By half-shift placements, I'll explain what I mean. imagine that every block was divided into 4 equal squares. If you press cn_L1 or cn_R1 in this game, you move your current block the length of one of those squares. But if you press the d-pad you only move it half of that. So using the d-pad allows you to shift the blocks only half of that unit of distance. That's what a half-shift is.

Here's my run from getting the trophy, which I think is around 70-74 seconds. Use it for ideas or guidance however you need to:

Take note of a couple of things:
- I kept my tower pretty narrow most of the time, but I always tried to leave room for other blocks to be put on safely.
- At the end, I made a mad dash for the finish line. Sometimes, this is the best option. I thankfully got the absolute most perfect combination of blocks to build a stable tower off of my magic block, so I didn't have to worry about it, but if you need to build a slightly unstable tower in order to make the time limit, just go for it and hope that your tower stays above the finish line long enough.

Good luck, you're probably going to need it.

(Multiplayer)

This trophy has to be done in a Race game. You can either do it with a second controller or online. If you try this online it's recommended to start a private match with a friend since it'll be harder with the random black magic attacks in public matches.

There is no timer in this mode, so you will need to track it by yourself if you want to. You have to build a stable tower because it will easily fall with the wind when you reach the top, but 80 seconds is a really short time. You need to hurry and place your bricks as fast as possible. It's best to place 2-3 bricks maximum in each row. The cement spell can help you tremendously in this challenge. While the time is tough, there is still plenty of room for errors.

The following picture will show you a tower that was built within 53 seconds supported by two cement spells. That's 27 seconds less than the required time.

At the moment the bug is still working. I don’t know how the author of the bug looked for the race, but I restarted the search several times until I found the desired mode. Moreover, after the search began, the mode changed, and if after the change there was no normal race, then the search was repeated. The trophy then fell out.

It might even come out for free (Although, maybe I got it for testing, went out, went online, and while I was searching for players, the trophy suddenly dropped out)

The trophy is glitchy in a good way: complete the first test in half a minute, quickly leave the single player, go online, search for a race in normal mode, and while the selection of players is going on, in about a minute the trophy will fall out.

But don't forget about the bad glitch: you must start your gaming session with a challenge or puzzle mode. If you start with a race and continue to play it, the system does not count the trophy conditions.

If you have a second gamepad, I can suggest this strategy.
We start a normal race for two. We build our tower, fulfilling the conditions of the trophy. Let's see what "sabotage" bonuses are given to the second player. If he has a spell to increase the size of a figure (weight), and you have concrete, then first activate his bonus, and then yours (positive). Due to this, you can sharply raise your tower.
In general, the task is to lower the pieces down as quickly as possible. That’s how I was able to fulfill the conditions of the trophy without any spells.

2019.02.16. The bug still exists.
First, look at the location of the modes on the screen and the number of transitions for each of them.
In a single player game, you should choose the very first challenge.
It is not necessary to complete it in exactly half a minute, as was suggested earlier, because... I won at 00:29:36. Next, quickly go to the list of tests, then to the main menu, and select a network game. And here there should be a “Normal Race” right away. Personally, I didn’t lose a trophy during matchmaking if the mode wasn’t “normal race” at first. Even if after 3-4 switching modes during the selection of players, the “normal race” still appeared, then the trophy was not given.
And most likely, success also lies in quitting the game completely if “Normal Race” does not appear as the first mode. It so happened that after 10 attempts and a break, I entered the game, and the first time the “normal race” mode turned on, and they immediately gave me the trophy.
