One easier way to complete this is to stand still for a moment until the statue head shakes and turns red, then get out of it's way. The head will come to the ground, and jump on it. Just stay on it, and ride it without touching any buttons, and allow the head to kill all the adds. Then you only have to fight the floating mini bosses.
You can sail from the head to each one, slashing with your sword, and also jump up and hit them from the ground.
Just beware of the spiral thorn vines they spawn on the ground, and of the head itself, which will take you out as easy as it takes out the enemy. Good luck. Focus and patience will prevail. :)
