How to unlock the Bet Your Bottom Dollar achievement in Trivial Pursuit - Definitive Guide

The easiest way to get this achievment is to start a game with 4 players on one controller (You + P2 + P3 + P4) and never answer a question.

When it's your turn, select "Yes" for P2, P3 and P4 then don't answer.

When it's P# turn, select "No" for yourself and "Yes" for the other P#s.

This way doesnt even require for you to know the WRONG answer and your in no danger of accidentally getting a question right yourself and wasting your time.

Note: If you land on a wedge space, because you couldnt move anywhere else, make sure to move the slider (if its part of the question) away from the right answer or you may end up getting some un wanted points.

This should give you the achievement first try without any possible chance of you being able to mess up and needing to start again.

Edit: TEKbulletsponge - Pointed out in the comments that as an added bonus, this is the best way to complete "Wedge Domination" as well.

If you accidentally select "I Know" and get the wedge by answering you will NOT get the achievement. Found out the hard way

Brilliantly written and easy to follow. Also it works.

Two notes:

1. On some of the number slider questions, the default position is the correct answer (a question about The 100 Acre Woods comes to mind), which can accidentally give an opponent a wedge, so watch out for that.

2. It took my simple mind a while to figure it out, but you need to get the last wedge by landing in the middle space of the board during the opponents turn and winning the wedge this way.

Other than that, the strategy worked like a charm. Thanks.

Does betting "I Know" effect this? I just did it by accident and got question right and earned wedge. If you don't answer I'll post if it does or not.

It is important to point out that you cannot quit to the dashboard or turn your Xbox off while attempting this Achievement. It must be done it one sitting, uninterrupted.

I'm doing the grind version anyhow - but one thing noone seems to have questioned or mentioned is whether you can fast track this achievement by using the other players to quickly get wedges. The achievement doesn't state you have to win all the wedges in a game, just that you have to win by betting. Anyhow. Maybe that info will be helpful for someone else, seeing as I am in the process of getting it...

Well...after screwing up and accidentally answering a question right I started again and tried to win just one pie piece, seems that isn't enough. So I tested my own theory and it seems it's safe to assume you should win them all.

Yeah, you need to win all six wedges to pop this.

One more thing to watch out for: I don't know if this was the AI trying to do some sort of catch-up mode, but towards the end of the game I noticed that when I landed on the bonus spaces (because the only other option was an HQ), the game kept bringing up Wedge-Offs for the other players to try and steal wedges off me. So that's one more thing you have to dodge late in the game if you want to get this.

So you only need to get the wedge on a bet. I answered a history question correctly at the beginning of the game (not on a wedge space) and then did the method provided and got the achievement along with a bunch of flawless achievements without even attempting those categories

I just did this and didn't get the achievement... I didn't mess up either. I don't know why. I will try again.

If you get in a wedge off somehow then you won't be able to get this achievement... just thought i'd clear that up, add it into the solution? :)

Ok, so I won the game twice using this solution and it didn't pop. Once I answered the "sudden death" question at the end correctly and once I answered it incorrectly (giving me a complete 0% correct questions on the second run through) and neither time did it work. I always answered any wedge questions wrong and I never landed on any of those "bonus" spaces that allow for random stuff. Can anyone clarify what I may be doing wrong? Also, does it count if I just let the timer run out? On my second play through, when I was unable to locate an answer and I wasn't sure, I just let the timer run out so that they got it wrong and I got credit for voting against them. Thanks for any help.

This achievement is relatively simple if you know all the WRONG answers to the questions.

Start a game of facts and friends and place all four players (or at least yourself and one other) on the same controller. When anyone lands on a question, have the player you want to get the achievement bet NO (betting that they will get the question wrong) have everyone else bet Yes. Than have the player answering the question answer incorrectly. You will have to do this multiple times for each category in order to obtain the wedge.

Be sure that you do not answer any questions correctly during your own turn. And remember that you cannot bet if someone lands on a Wedge HQ space (the larger questions that represent wedge spaces in clear the board.

Only one of each wedge can be won per game. I won all wedges when I did this, but you may only need to win one so long as you win it by betting and obtain no others.

I don't know, I thought I tried betting and finishing the game with one wedge and it didn't unlock for me. Do I have to bet no each time, because I think I bet yes a time or two to win the wedge.

I had all four players controlled by me and I figured that by betting no and having the other player get the question wrong it would reduce the chance that someone else accidentally get the wedge first.

Do you have to win every wedge or just 1?

It looks like you have to win every wedge, or at least it also didn't pop for me with only one wedge, but did when I won all wedges this way. (How annoyingly tedious.)

This achievement is a little tricky. It says to get it by betting but the catch to this achievement is that you have to bet if the person will get the question right or wrong. I thought if I bet that I knew the answer and got it right it would count. Boy was I wrong.
Make sure you bet the person will get it right or wrong

Facts & Friends mode is a local multiplayer mode that allows players to bet on whether or not their opponent knows the answer to their questions. When your opponent is faced with a question, bet that they don't and deliberately answer their question to earn a point. Answering a question correctly earns 2 your points. Earn 4 points in a category to earn a wedge. Earn all wedges, making sure that the 4th point is obtained by betting, to unlock this trophy.
