How to unlock the Iron Fist achievement in Tropico 4 - Definitive Guide

If you don't unlock this early on in the game dont worry, its pratically story related in Mission 10. In Mission 10 its all about colonizing your city then having a revolution to become independent. Your last objective in the game will be an all out battle between your loyalist and your traitors. My loyalists were outnumbering my traitors like 10 to 1 and I won my indepedence which popped this achievement and won the mission.

You beat me to it lol but yeah mission 10 has this as its final objective it literally comes out of nowhere and I had like 200 vs 50 and yes the 200 were my loyalists.

As long as the people love you mission 10 is pretty much this achievement in the bag.

I got this within my first 3 missions. I honestly can't remember which one, but the general idea is simple. Get a lot of the population mad at you (under 40 happiness) but keep a happy army. I didn't have a big army at the time of the achievement I know, but they were enough to take out the usurpers. So neglect the populace and keep your generals and soldiers happy. Easiest way is keep them happy is with a higher than average salary and purchase the upgrade for your palace that improves job quality. As long as the people are upset and you have a sufficient army, you should be able to suppress them. Obviously, the earlier you attempt this the better. The lower the population the better. You need to stop them, and if there are too many, you might lose the mission. Also, trying to get this early on is easier because of the lack of religion, health, and housing starting out. Ignore those for the first few years and you should be golden!

An uprising will happen during mission 10: 'Independence Day', even if your overall happiness is way over 50%. You're required to build a radio station. This ratio station will be occupied by rebel agents, have your army deal with it. Later, you have to switch your Ministry to People's Commitee and gain 130 Revolutionists. A 'fake' uprising will happen right after you've gathered them. After a few seconds Penultimo will inform you that it is a real uprising. You will win the campaign mission if you suppress this uprising, it will also unlock the achievement.
