Tropico 4

I did this post-mission (the olympics one). I just started building Shanties, super cheap to build (and quick build).

I just started piling shanties around my island, and it popped about 5-10min after starting to building them

The description is as it implies: construct 200 buildings on one island. Note, however, that unlike Tropico 3, statues and gardens DO NOT count toward the building tally. These must be new constructions, and not placements. Anything that requires a builder (or can be quick-built) will pop the achievement once the building is complete. It doesn't matter if it is a builder that finishes the construction or if you select quick build to finish it off.

So unlike tropico 3 you can't just spam plants and statues to get this when you decide you want it, so you have to build actual buildings which can't just be dropped down. Make sure they all have a quick building button to be sure.

The Best way to do this would be to play a scenario or mission to its near conclusion building at least one of every building and keeping the people housed as much as you can (this will drive up your total buildings). Have one of every building type at the lowest and then when your near the end just build alot of cheap buildings and use quick build if you have a good economy.

I chose houses and put them in the small areas of space I had left in my city.
