The Power of the Atom

The Power of the Atom

Generated 1 000 MW of electricity in a Nuclear Power Plant

30

How to unlock the The Power of the Atom achievement in Tropico 4 - Definitive Guide

You will get this automatically when you build a Nuclear Power Plant and keep it staffed and supplied for a sufficient amount of time (for me it took about 10 years). Initially the plant will produce about 350MW. As your employees become more skilled, the plant will automatically start producing more power.

To keep tabs on how far along you are, simply select the power plant and look at the number next to "Power Supply" (not "Total Power"!)

Thanks, I didn't have enough money when the cargo containers arrived, but would get 60,000+ once they arrived. Got it! Great guide!

Thumbs up. Do you know if a lot of these cheevs can be done if you keep playing a game after you win it? Im thinking they can. And make lots of saves along the way to reload a game, milk it for a cheev , then reload your unharmed game.

Yes, you can get these achievements at any time, either during the scenario or once you win and select "Keep playing".

The Urianum supply decomposes over time. There must be something more to it. I didn't get my power supply to 1k in 30 years. It's always stuck at around 800.

Max out the Max Imports/ship slider on the docks and build a tv station next to the power plant set to Learning with Larry.

Once you've built the plant you can go to the building menu and you can enable/disable import of uranium. It should be enabled by default. So, the next time a ship arrives and you have cash, uranium will automatically be imported. You'll still have to make sure it gets to the plant of course (by using Teamsters).

Build a nuclear power plant. Make sure you have enough import funds and space on the freighter import Uranium (you can change this values on the dock). Now get a full staff for your power plant, their experience will grow over time, and so will the amount of electricity generated.
