How to unlock the For Science! achievement in Tropico 5 - Penultimate Edition - Definitive Guide

The easiest way to go about this is by doing the following:

* Sandbox Game
* Generated Map (Any Size, make sure it's flat.
* Unlimited Money
* Modern Era
* NO VICTORY BY

1.) Build Nuclear Power Plant
1.1) Go into the research panel cn_LT + cn_A and click on everything that's left (you can queue them all at the start).
2.) Import the people needed to run it
3.) Press cn_RT + cn_Y and find any options to import Uranium
4.) If you don't see any -- build the Lighthouse
5.) Build more Docks (I had 3 docks and added 3 boats to the trade route)
6.) Build Science Labs (10-15) and import workers to work in them
OPTIONAL:
7.) Build an Embassy
8.) Go into Edicts: cn_LT + cn_B and issue the Global Research Initiative (req. embassy)

If you're having trouble with power, you can also try one of the following:

1. A regular power plant and coal/natural gas imports/mines.
2. A geothermal power plant if you have a volcano nearby (otherwise these just don't put out enough power to make it worthwhile)
3. Finally, try just using a bunch of observatories or libraries instead of science labs. They don't output as much Research Points, but should do the trick in a pinch.

Thanks to milehighkoala for the original guide to this. I just tweaked/edited it a bit.

You did most of the hard work! I just added to it a bit. :) I wouldn't just blindly steal your work.

The 3 repeatable future techs have to be researched at least once each

Not really sure why uranium is relevant, one geothermal at max efficiency on free market can support 8 supercomputers, which don't rely on labor.
