In Mission 6, the final mission of Waterborne, one of your Palace icons will give you the option to sell the Black Pearl for a good chunk of money; ignore this and do the mission without selling it to get the achievement.
Unless you just want to do the mission normally, make sure you don't really mess with the main objectives either, as you can earn the "Herbivore" achievement for defeating Captain Plant at the end of the mission during his final assault. Make sure to have an excellent army for that; 30 or so Guard Towers near each other, 4-6 each of Barracks and Army Bases.
