Tropico 5 - Penultimate Edition

When I first clicked on Multiplayer I was faced with a message reading "The connection with the game server has been lost. Please try again later." I clicked it a couple more times with no luck before...

...I found that this can be averted if you click , scroll to Tropico and click . Scroll down to quit and restart the game.

Now that the multiplayer is working, scroll down to "Create Game".

Game Settings:
Map- Any
Starting Era- Modern Era
Starting Population- Any
Starting Money- Unlimited

All the difficulties set to very low and disasters set to off.

Here you can choose to go for



by contruction of the Aerodrome (The earliest research available)

You could also make it quick and go for



I believe victory by points is the quickest way to win a game as you can set it to just 3 points for victory.

Regardless of your choice you will earn



Once you confirm your game settings you are brought to a pre-lobby screen
From here you should set game speed to fast and peaceful mode on. If you have a boosting partner this will workout significantly better, but should work regardless.

When you load into the game, build a couple geothermal plants near your partner. (I did it with regular power plants and electric substations, but geothermal plants are faster).

Once these are placed, press + and scroll down to your in game partner. From here you are going to check the box to "Share electricity". In order for this to work, your partner must do the same. They must also have buildings that need electricity to run, i.e. Pharmaceutical Company.

Shortly after you both sign the agreement, you will recieve the achievement.
