How to unlock the The Governator achievement in Tropico 6 - Definitive Guide
Can be done in sandbox mode. Make sure you start in the colonial era.
Set up a large island with an abundance of resources, 200 citizens, and $200,000.
Build a variety of plantations, ranches, and fishing docks (at least 4 if you want exports), mines, and the factories (lumber mill, rum, and tannery).
Most of your requests will be import/export related so make sure you have plenty of teamsters. (note: teamsters can be lazy. If you put a teamsters office away from your city make sure to add a bunkhouse so they don't have to travel as far to and from work).
Focus on building your resources up.
ALWAYS TAKE THE MANDATE EXTENSIONS
If the crown requests you build something, build it, wait for the scenario screen to pop saying you did a good job, then delete it.
After 30 years the achievement will pop

If, like me, you wanted to idle this out, you can work up your mandate time until you know you will hit 10800 days in the palace menu, then just open it up and wait. Requests dont come in when you have a window open so the timer just keeps going up.

Head up, click the Palace, and look for “Days Since Inauguration.” . This will show how many days your in.
Once it hits 10,680 days achievement pops.
Also if you already been meeting the crown demands and you have more years then days left, you can just keep the Palace tab open and count the days, no demands will pop up when your on that tab which is cool!

When completing missions of the Crown in the colonial era, always take as a reward - to extend the reign. And so on until the achievement is released. On medium difficulty you can knock it out freely.
