In main menu, select "multiplayer" then "modifier of the day" (the 3rd option). I unlocked the achievement starting with only 1 bot but during the game other players joined in.

I actually popped it after changing the match settings to 3 victories and had three public slots unoccupied at the end, so it seems that the settings and occupancy may not matter for this.

This is easily done vs a bot. Here is how you can do it:
- From start menu go to "Multiplayer"
- Move down and select "Local Match"
- Press
and make sure the "Mode" is set to "Puzzle Race"
- In the same menu select "Configure Puzzle Race"
- Change "Win Limit" to 3 wins
- Select "Change Modifiers"
- Select "Modifiers of the Day" and it should add a little checkmark
- Press
a few times until you are back to the character select.
- Setup a single bot on beginner difficulty to make it easiest
- Play the match and win and the achievement will unlock
- From start menu go to "Multiplayer"
