Equip your sword and simply move forwards and press dodge and attack at the same time.
This doesn't need to hit an enemy. I don't think you need to be focused / locked-on either, but if it doesn't work you can try that. You don't need to have any enemies on screen to lock-on, it will just change the camera angle slightly.
Since there's confusion in the other guides I wanted to be clear - attack while rolling forwards. You'll know it's been done right because the fox will roll and then lunge forward - probably quite a useful move for the range it covers.

To unlock this achievement, simply hold in any direction and press

After you obtain the sword press the dodge 
button and the button you have the sword equipped to at the same time, if you do it correctly the fox will attack out of the dodge roll.
