Don't worry about farming this. It came naturally for me after a while playing normally.

Note that grass being burnt by fire counts towards this. In the
the fire attacks can spread to grass and take out large patches easily. Whilst set on fire, you can run into grass to burn it

I didn't get this achievement after playing a complete walkthrough. What do you recommend? Do you know if the 1000 count carries to a new game+ or is better to seek for non cut grass on my current walkthrough?

Anyone who's played a lot of Zelda will easily get this achievement. Is there also one for smashing pots? 😅

I got this before even completing the first forest area where you ring the East bell, less than 2 hours into the game. I doubt I actually cut 1000 pieces of grass so this is either popping earlier than it should or each square of grass counts as several blades.

This achievement is cumulative over an entire playthrough. Once you get the sword early on in the game, you can start chopping down blades of grass. There is literally no reason to chop blades of grass except for this achievement. No drops come from the grass, so it's completely pointless except to work toward this achievement. So, once you get the sword, just chop random grass you come across until you unlock this achievement. It'll go much quicker than you think.

The grass grows in clumps of 4, destroy them with your sword or other items. After 1000 total have been destroyed the trophy will pop.
