Stand outside the Old House in the overworld next to the windchimes and input this code on your D-Pad:

Page 34 of the manual has a picture of a bird with notes corresponding to the different directions. Up = second note higher, right = both notes same, down = second note lower, left = two note chord. You put that together with page 28 - if you look closely you'll see a small musical note pointing at the house with the windchime. The notes played by the windchime correspond to the directions you need to press.
All these treasure achievements are actually hinted at in the manual. On page 54 the twelve numbers in the circles correspond to the manual pages where you can find the hints, if you look closely enough.
