How to unlock the Vintage achievement in TUNIC - Definitive Guide

Available in the Overworld area (Map on Page 28). It is located on a small island off the beach near the bottom leftish of the map. You'll notice an island with a golden sand path in the diagram, and there is a secret path to easily get to it after taking the ladder to the beach.
Once here, pause your game, and turn your Audio, and Master Volume to 0%. Stand inside the pool of water near the chest at the end of the path, and then wait 60+ seconds without moving. If you have Page 1, it will be updated with a hint at this point.
After waiting for 60 seconds, step near the island and input the code:
DOWN, RIGHT x 11, LEFT x 12
Shown at: 3:40:
You can find the hint shown on Page 51, and then after on Page 1.

A few things:
As soon as you have access to the correct spot you can just input the code and there is no need for any of the other steps. The part about standing in the water is only needed if you are trying to figure the puzzle out on your own, and only constitutes part of the game's intended solution. If you are going to explain the intended solution in the guide I suggest that the entire thing is explained. Otherwise, I think what you have currently should be removed since it's confusing for it to only be half there.
Also, there is no need whatsoever to adjust the in-game volume for the secret to appear as this and many other guides state for some reason; my guess is that this misinformation spread because someone interpreted the "Shhh..." on page 51 to mean the volume needs to be adjusted (but it's just there to say "hey, this is a secret!").
Finally, soaking the "page" in water is a reference to Startropics, a game for the NES that had a similar water-activated note packaged with the game (IIRC there was even a note not to eat the paper, just like in Tunic!).

The hint is at bottom right of page 51 too. I unlocked this achievement without having the page 1.

On the bottom of the overworld map on the beach there is a little island out in the water with a puddle in the middle (there is a chest on the sand here). The part of the island you need to stand in is where the sand drops down in a shape of a U, you can see it on the map in the manual as well. Stand in the water in the opening of the U.
You may need pages 1 and 51.
What it asks you to do is stand in the puddle for 60 seconds with the game sounds turned off in the options.
Once you have done this you'll know when more information appears on the bottom of page 1. You don't need page 1 however knowing when you've finished the first criteria helps.
Following this you must press on the road the following: down -> right x 11 times -> left x 12 times

Can confirm you do not need page 1 or page 51. I just stood in the water and did the code and chest still appeared.

@evil terrorr make sure you have the first part for sure completed for the no sound 60 seconds otherwise the button parts won't work. I did the same my first time thinking I had done the first.

Para quem assim como eu está com problemas com essa conquista, talvez seja uma confusão na interpretação do código, você precisa apertar para baixo apenas uma 1x e para direita 11x e então 12x para a esquerda, e não baixo e direita 11X como eu estava fazendo, aposto que muitos estão na mesma situação kkk, faça isso e a conquista irá estourar
Desligue o som do jogo, vá para a área em U na água, coloque um cronômetro e espere dar 60 segundos, após isso saia do U e vá para a beira da praia entre a grama e a areia, e faça o seguinte:
BAIXO (APENAS 1X) E DIREITA 11X E EM SEGUIDA 12X ESQUERDA
Pronto, está ai sua conquista
Desligue o som do jogo, vá para a área em U na água, coloque um cronômetro e espere dar 60 segundos, após isso saia do U e vá para a beira da praia entre a grama e a areia, e faça o seguinte:

Obrigado!!!! Very helpful. For those that don’t speak Portuguese, basically this addressed the problem I was having. You need to push down 1 time, right 11 times and then left 12 times. All the explanations above seemed to suggest you need to push down and right together 11 times. Nope, just down once and right 11 times and then left 12 times. Cheevo popped!

Unlock Secret Treasure #4 on a small island just off the beach to earn the Vintage trophy. First, stand in the middle of the loop next to a treasure chest. Next, turn your sound off in the settings and wait at least one minute. Lastly, move to the edge of the grass and enter the code:
Down, 11x Right, 12x Left
