How to unlock the Icebreaker achievement in Two Point Hospital - Definitive Guide
The Superbug Project is an ongoing set of community challenges. It becomes available at Mitton University; I believe after obtaining 1-star. Hair Removal is an introductory challenge that can be done solo. Don’t let the ratio fool you… this is a very easy achievement.
To start, look for the Superbug icon – it looks like a small blue beetle and appears in the top right. Initially you’ll need to return to the map to make it appear. Afterwards, it will always be available on the map screen by pressing , or in a hospital up with the objectives – press then scroll across to it.
You’ll see Hair Removal listed, so press to start. You will be presented with a research goal (called a node). Once you complete the first, another will appear. The nodes may split into branching paths and you may have several nodes to choose from.

If you want to do this with friends, press to invite them on this screen. I believe they will have to be friends on Xbox Live to be able to see your invite. Hair Removal can be done with up to 3.
Once selected, a node will appear below other objectives in the top-right of the screen in any hospital.
The exact requirements for each node are random but should be fairly easy. Examples include:
- Upgrade 3 machines,
- Shoot 3 monobeasts,
- Cure 10 patients,
- Earn $200,000,
- Generate 1000 Research Points,
You may also see timed varieties of the above – eg. Cure 10 Patients in 90 Days. Timed nodes need to be “started”. To do so, press to access the objectives menu, then scroll down to find the node objective and select start.
You can skip between hospitals and may have to. Some hospitals will not feature monobeasts, for example. In fact, the node will even recommend which hospital you should use, so read carefully when selecting.
On completion of the node, you’ll see an option to View Project in the objectives menu. Alternatively, you can just go back into the Superbug menu to start the next node.
There should be around 5-6 nodes to complete. Once you complete the final node, the achievement will unlock and you will get a Browbeater item to place in your hospitals.
Note that you can repeat the project and can even have it running several times concurrently – explore the Superbug menu to do so (use the bumpers to open new tabs). You want to do this as you’ll need to complete 50 nodes for:
I hope this helps!
