How to unlock the Grey Wizard achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

This achievement will come naturally when playing the single player campaign. You will be required to make a basic spell rather early in the game.

Instead i am going to tell you a littlebit about the marvelous world of spellcrafting as i felt that the game didn't quite properly instruct me on how that actually works.

You craft a spell by using cards that you can buy or pick up from chests around your journey. There are 3 type of cards. . They may seem strange to you at first but you will start to value them for what they are worth soon.

1) Effect Cards
- Effect cards determine what effect your spell will have or what the natural element is the spell will draw it's power from. Like fire , water , air and earth for example.
- If you want to add more Effect cards to your spell and thus making the spell stronger you need to increase the MAGIC MASTERY SKILL of the type of magic you are using. There are several : Fire, Air, Water, Earth and Necromancy.

2) Carrier Cards
- Carrier cards make the effect you selected do stuff. The carrier card is your way of making the spell do what you want it do. should it be a missile or a summon or something to make yourself resistant against something etc.
- In order to use more Carrier cards in one spell thus making your area of effect larger or making your missile fly faster for example you need to increase the "WISDOM SKILL" which can be found in your Magic tab

3) Modifier cards
- Modifier cards are optional but very important if you want your spells to become stronger. They allow you to alter how the spell works. Do you want to fire 11 firebolts instead of one? Do you want them to bounce off, home in on enemies or have additional damage bonusses? You can alter it all with the modifier cards.
-In order to increase your amount of Modifier cards in one spell and thus being able to increase the amount of bolts you can fire at once or making them ricochet more you need to improve the "SORCERY ARTISAN"skill

Lets do this step by step. I want to create a firebolt

Step 1)
The first step to making a spell is opening your spell amulet. your amulet will be split up into two sections. The left section is for the effect card and the right one is for the carrier card.
Since i want a firebolt i am going to look for the Fire- Effect card and put that in the left section.

Step 2) Now i want my fire to be a bolt so i am going to select the "Missile"card as my carrier card.

* You have created a basic firebolt spell now that will probably be able to kill a wolf. but we can potentially make this spell way cooler.

Step 3) Now lets assume you have fire mastery level 2 ( if not just change the Fire Effect card into something else) . Hit the Right trigger which allows you to switch to section two of the spell. This allows us to give the spell a second effect.

Step 4) I am going to put Fire effect into the effect card slot once more but it might be anything you like really. And the for the carrier card i am going to put Area of Effect for example.

*Voila* Fire rains from the sky on the point of impact where my firebolt landed doing an area of effect damage and hurting enemies with each firebolt that falls from the sky.

Step 5) Magic becomes a little more advanced here. Let's add modifier cards for a bit. I want my firebolt to split into 3 firebolts instead of one. Go to your Fire + Missile section and add a "Spray"modifer card. Now i don't shoot one firebolt but 3 ( adding more cards will make that number go up) . Each bolt will still unleash a fire rain on impact and this creates a larger fireshower.

There are over 1.000.000 million possible spells you can make and i've only showed you a basic one. It's worth to play with spells and see what effects do when you play with them.

Spell strength can and will be increased by using better staff's, upgrading your staff's and increasing your Mana skill.

Early on in the game you will learn how to create spells, and you will unlock this trophy at that point.

To create a spell, first enter your inventory and scroll across to the Spell Card tab. Now press on a Spell Amulet Card to open the Amulet. Here you can add effect cards (fire, ice, earth etc) and modifier cards (homing, damage, area effect etc) to the spell, which will govern what spell you create. Adding additional Modifier and Effect cards to your Spell Amulet Card will create more powerful spells.

To do this, we must have at least a skill from one of the schools of magic. The card of this school (Fire (Impact), Ice (Impact), etc. depending on the school) and the Charge Card (Embodiment). Open the Magic section . Select a free Charmed Amulet . For example , we put Fire (Impact) in the left cell and Charge (Embodiment) in the right cell, then we get a spell that causes a flash that does not cause damage, but blinds the enemy. I’ll also consider the Battle Spell: Fire Charge , we leave everything as with Flash, but there are 6 more small additional slots around. In order for our Flash to cause damage, we must have an additional card with a Damage (Conversion) skull. Now the charge causes damage, but if the enemy leaves the line of the fired projectile, it will fly past, to prevent this from happening, you can add an additional Guidance (Transformation) card, after which our spell will follow the enemy, even if he has moved to the side. The higher the level of the magic school, the more you can enhance the spell by adding several Fire (Impact) Charge (Embodiment) cards, which will add damage and the speed of casting the spell. Experiment, but you got a trophy for 1 spell.
