How to unlock the Liberation achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

The quest is "Whatever it Takes."

This is a frustrating cheevo because it's long and drawn out, tedious and one small mistake and your dead!

It's the final big battle in the game against a dragon (I won't say who or what the dragon is!)

Make sure you come armed with plenty of health potions. At level 41, I had 170 health potions on me, and used 70 of them. A health potion hotkey is critical.

You'll find yourself, alone, on top of a tower with four ballista. Your goal is to use the ballista to kill the dragon.

The way I did it was run to a ballista that had a clear view of the dragon, pull back the bolt and shoot. You have to aim in front of the dragon as it moves. In general you can get two, maybe three shots, in before the dragon heads your way to unleash firey death on you. Once you've loosed your shots, run to a ballista that is 90degrees to the one you just ran from and hide behind the stonework. The stonework is the only thing that offers some protection. Wait for the dragon to move on and head to a ballista with a view of the dragon. Rinse and repeat 'til dead. You or the dragon :)

Don't try to rush this and down the dragon in a few moves, it simply doesn't work. You will die because you won't be protected when the dragon swoops in.

A little later in the battle, the dragon starts ramming the tower, which stuns you and causes damage. So make sure you keep an eye on your health at all times.

To spice things up a little, the dragon invokes one, two and then three Magma Sentinels. They are easy to defeat, but the real danger is you being distracted while the dragon zooms in and kills you. So always keep a lookout for the dragon. Run around and hide if needed. The dragon breath does more damage than the Sentinels.

As soon as the last bolt kills the dragon, the cheevo pops.

I have had 100% fire resistance on the whole battle and it did not seem to aid me in the least. Neither did a handful of invisibility potions.

I did not bother with fire resistance, so I don't know if it works. But talking to friends they indicate they provide zero to little help. :(

Fire resistance did bugger all. Just wanted to add: You can hear the dragon roar before it rains fire whilst you're battling the creatures she summons. That was always my queue to get the hell outta the way.

When attempting this I found that using a Resurrect potion worked out very well. Even with little Alchemy skill you can make 60% restore and last 5min. I made ones with 70% . Just Mix Mummy Brains and whatever material that increases the effects.
TIP: When the effect is used you don't die then come back. It just auto refills your heath.

Only need to run around and not get hit by flames. Otherwise wasn't to hard just time consuming. Was harder to get to the end once inside vok-dumb castle

Just as a note -- combining any of the 75% fire resistance herbs/items with a demon's heart (you should have several of these by now) and a huge pile of 'extended duration' items (you should have a lot of these if you loot everything you kill, I did anyway) gets you a 100% fire resistance potion with about 4:30 of duration. (And I didn't put any skill points into alchemy). You still have to be pretty careful (it won't even come close to really negating her damage) but it does help get you the time to hit a healing potion and makes it way less frustrating.

Story related. Impossible to miss.

Chapter IV consists of only one quest, but it is a long one. The trophy will unlock once you have defeated Cassara.

there will be a boss at the end. Dragon (arakul). To win you need to hit from the gorpoon. after 4 or 5 hits. she calls upon one creature. You have to be more careful here. fight with it and watch so that they don’t shoot fire at you. just if you are a magician and have developed summoning up to 10 or 11 creatures and level 40. we call on the creatures and they kill another. the dragon, flying along the top, will shoot them with flame, because they are openly fighting.

we hit the dragon again with 4(5). Again the dragon summons, this time 2. And so on up to 3 creatures.

Please note that you should not stock up on mana. and lives. It took me 30 pieces, their power is 5000.

Your main weapon is speed.

I'll explain. We look at the dragon. The dragon makes several movements:

1. Flies and begins to unfold (fly towards the gorpon). As soon as you see that you have taken a turn, we run and pull the bowstring. you only have one shot, because... on the second, she will burn you with flames. so we aim well. You can hit the wings, the head - it’s not difficult.

after that we run around the tower (in a circle), because she will shoot at you with precision. 5(6) shots stop.

At this time, you cannot have someone called upon you. it will get in the way, and the dragon can also aim at it and hit you.

2. begins to flow towards us. the next attack is a dive with fire. we run to the dragon and hide at the gorpoon.

3. makes a turn towards the catapult, and then dives down. appears in front of you and burns with flame. We first run to the gorpoon, shoot once, and then quickly wake up in the opposite direction, away from her.

4. turns towards the harpon, but does not hang in the air, but flies sideways. Her next attack will be ramming with her body. we shoot with a harpoon. and we run, as soon as we hear her scream, we jump.

5, summons one creature for the first time, 2 for the second, 3 for the third time.

if the magician call on our own and let each other kill each other. the dragon will be yours. but the main thing is not you.

the dragon shoots after his cry. if you are playing as a knight. you will have a chance to run to the side to avoid getting caught in the flames.
