How to unlock the Ruthless achievement in Two Worlds II - Definitive Guide

You need to win 5 deathmatches for this one. that much for the obvious information.
Deathmatch in this game is actually "Team"Deathmatch and you need at least 2 players on each team in order to start the match, this in contrary to the duels, crystal captures or any other achievement in this game which can be earned with 2 or even by yourself. You need 4 people..at least to start the match.Ít doesn't matter if it is ranked, player or private. The only people that have to end it are the host and one player on the opposing team.

Deathmatch levels are larger than Duel arena's and although that every character might have his own unique strength's i'd say that archers and mages are having a bit of an advantage on most of the deathmatch maps. Enemies don't show up on the radar and this can be both your advantage as your doom. Stunning, tackling and even hypnotizing are very usefull tricks in these encouters. Also make sure you have multiple equipment sets for both close ranged and long ranged as people occasionally jump on houses/rocks/etc and use those levelled platforms to perform ranged attacks.

Currently there are 3 maps:
The Hogback : It's a large dark canyon with excellent opportunities for rangers and mages

The Fen of pestilence : An egyptian tomb with small corridors and one large central hall. Most suitable for melee characters.

The Village ( has a different name): A small village with marshes around it. All classes can work here but when done right i'd say the advantage is for mage/rangers

Two worlds II doesn't really have a skill system that influences the matchmaking system. you can host the lobby yourself and if you put player level on "Any" then every level will be able to join your game. High levels should preferably try to look for low level servers and low levels should be wise to set player level to "similar". When you are within the lobby you can change teams freely as long as there is at least one person on each. You can decide to go 7 versus 1 if that's what you want but chances are that your opponent will quit the match, nevertheless trying to join the higher levelled players is something you might want to consider.

If you are a low level player and you are playing with high levels then the golden yet mostly forgotten rule of team combat applies : you are a team and if you die then your team will be one point behind. No it isn't honorable to die in action, it makes you lose games. Don't throw yourself into the pit of snakes , instead focus on distraction, stunning and supporting your higher levelled team mates. Also make sure you carry plenty of health potions. Some levels are relatively large and some of them are dark, be on the lookout for the large beam of light that indicates when and where your opponent has spawned.

Is this boostable with a party of 4 in a private match? Or do you get matched against random people?

You need 4 people to start a Deathmatch match, unlike the other multiplayer gametypes. Quitting out does not work but if you're fortunate enough to have one person with 2 XBoxes and 2 copies of the game you can set up unbalanced teams and have the dummy player on its own team (even in ranked). That way you only have to play 5 matches, which is tedious enough. Otherwise you'll have to do it the old fashioned way and play 10 full matches, alternating which team wins.

The Village map (which I think is called the Fen of Pestilence) seemed to be the smallest and easiest to find the players as they spawn. They spawn in set places and will even spawn right next to a player on the other team. Try spreading out your team to cover as many spots as possible (put one player in the graveyard - there are 2 spawn points nearby). A dual wield character kills the fastest, at least at level 1.

This can be done on ranked, player, or private matches. If you play on ranked the winning team will each get 5 "ranked points", which are good for....something? I don't know. Anyway, it takes 20 kills to win a match. Happy hunting!

So this can be done with three players? You say you need four in the solution, but then you say you can have unbalanced teams, manic would be only three.

Win 5 times in the Multiplayer Duel mode. The minimum number of players is 4, the maximum is 8. Team battle The Blue team competes against the Red team. I would like to note that magicians are very strong opponents if they know how to use area of effect (AOE) magic.
